Dungeons & Dragons Online News - Update 22: Pirates of the Thunder Sea

Posted by Neilie Johnson on May 23, 2014  | 2 comments in our forums

Turbine is more than excited about the upcoming overhaul of Dungeons and Dragons Online's Three-Barrel Cove Adventure pack. The update will include a new Swashbuckler skill tree, four quests tuned to Epic difficult, and numerous Airship changes.  The monsters and wilderness around Three-Barrel Cove (AKA "Barrel's Bottom") will soon exhibit a distinctly pirate-y look. Also, the area will be beset by enemy airships including an undead ship captained by the legendary Jack Jibbers.

Other changes will include:

  • Guild airships will now be customizable through a new streamlined interface
  • Guild ships will contain crafting stations and other permanent amenities
  • Guild ship buffs will last longer and line up properly
  • A centrally-located  Buff Bar makes receiving buffs much easier
  • More bacon! The more expensive the airship, the more bacon guilds receive
  • Swashbuckler talent tree - available for spellsinger and warchanter trees
  • "Precious Cargo" quest now requires fighting off other pirate ships
  • Guilds will have shared storage and bag deposit box
