Turbine has announced that German and French localized versions of Dungeons & Dragons Online have launched. The announcement coincides with Turbine taking over from the former server hosts. Turbine now maintains hosting duties for a global audience.

The Turbine team has activities, quests and rewards to hand out to good little elves, humans and orcs. Included in the update is a new adventure pack called Siege of Stormreach, armor appearance kits, cookie jars to keep special event foodstuffs in, UI changes and improvements and general changes to hirelings. Also several bug fixes and balance issues will be addressed.

Update 7 will bring Half-Elves and Half-Orcs online as playable races as well as the Devil Assault 12-man raid. Update 7 will be released on the public test server very soon. Turbine introduced the Half Elf and the Half Orc at this weekend's PAX in Seattle, Washington and also revealed a few other details about the next patch. Update 7, the largest this year, will feature a 12-man raid, a free quest line, and will DX-11 support.

The update includes a new adventure pack called the Red Fens as well as dozens of new items in the DDO store. Items include Ninja Masks, guest passes for the Red Fens adventure pack, shock weapons and bundled items.
