I've never played this game but the graphics don't look bad. At least they can't be described as 1990's. I'm glad their offering this in a f2p format, i'm gonna check it out.

Yes, when this was released, I thought then that it should have had a diffrent income generating mechanism than the subscription based one they went with.  I have high hopes for this new format!  I'm talking to all my friends, and we are looking forward to trying it out.

The Beta Test (several years ago,) was incredibly fun, I remember feeling closer to the 'Gathered around the table pencil and paper' style of play from my younger days, than with any other MMO that I'd played to that date.  (And I'd played most.) it's now several years later, and STILL I think that DDO has that spirit of DnD better than any of the other MMO's that have been inspired by DnD.
