DDO should never have been marketed as an MMO. Pricing this game at $15 a month was a huge mistake. The game is all instanced with nothing more than a fancy chat room where people can shop talk. This game should be free of monthly payments. Ok, so put out a new module every few months and charge 25 bucks for it. That would be easier to swallow. Maybe allow people to buy a number of hours which will only be used up while logged on. This will allow the same group of friends to schedule a couple nights a month to play together. DDO is a great game for this type of play style, but no one will pay 15 bucks just to maybe play 6 hours a month. DDO needs more options then the current flat rate of 15 bucks. If that does not change soon, this game is history. The writing is on the wall now. Turbine, stop treating this game as an MMO. Market this game accordingly and likewise, price it as such. You may have time to salavage something out of this. |

Still too much to me. I get way more content with Guild Wars for free. Even as a free game it is still VERY light in the content department. Playing it beyond very casual makes it get boring fast. They need to finish the game as far as I am concerned. |

Originally posted by mightyfelixI agree with you. Paying $15 is too much. I gave the game a couple of months, then cancelled my account. It should be free to play since there's not enough to it. |

My Aggro brings all the mobs to the yard. |
I am perfectly happy paying $15 a month for the amount of content that Turbine has and continues to release.
To each his own, but I much miss my $15 a month a lot less sending it to Turbine than I did sending it to Blizzard. |

Originally posted by Tymora From reading the past post, they almost threw 15 a month. I wish they had, MAYBE then I would buy the game. But I think the game would need a change in graphics to get me back and actually play. It's not a bad game, but it sure can use a tune up. |

Actually, you can play the game on the highest graphics level. The game does not have a default setting. You can change the graphics from very low to very high. The higher you go, the features that added onto your screen. However, it's still looks ugly in all of it's glory and the armors still need to be redesigned.
Oh and I got heads up from a source that the game is going to have expansion pack this Feb. The expansion feature visual accessories and level 20 cap. Don't hold me to it because I don't know what's going in DDO anymore. |

You have to own the DVD version f DDO to get access to the best graphics.
Dunno know for certain about the ex.pack, but heard it wasnt true, just a rumour.

Actually, no you don't. Very High graphic quality complete renders the DDO, giving the enivornment more shading, more definition to the characters, adding small objects and giving them defintion, multiple lighting and all that jazz. The lower the quality the more pixelated it looks and less features you see. But the graphics are still ugly.
