They should be optional not everyone wants to keep to themself and play on theyir own ( wondering why they play mmo game at all)

i like social life and talking and grouping with other people, i like to see other peeps passing by and getting on with their life and quests , i like the idea that they might choose to help me or just say hi or ignore me completly such is life ,,,,,,

i like the idea that when i enter a dungeon that i might meet someone in who might need my help and wont to join .........

So i believe if you are one of those who like to play on your own or just not to be disturbed while with your party members ... you should have choise wether to play in real world with everyone else or to create a new private dungeon

you will hate when in instance zone your member leave you ,,, meaning you cant get replacement, hey its your private world no other peeps in there

I don't think DDO is going to be like EQ, more like City of Heroes instances, where if you find stuff you can't handle on your own, grab extra people by adding them to your group...

Social activities will be handled in Stormreach, if there are 1000 people on the server, and half are in an instanced zone, guess where the other 500 are...That's right, Stormreach, the only player accessible city in DDO.

I will play Vanguard instead of DDO, even if i'm a big D&D fan.

Vanguard has no instances, and thus is a real MMO. I would hate to play again a game with instanced dungeons like wow or EQII. It really kills the fun and the immersion. And it makes finding/leaving a group such a pain... I really don't like that egotistic, autistic way of playing.
