"Pain is only weakness escaping the body"

Things that I like to see in a MMORPG:

1) I like a very highly customized character.  I'd like a large variety of skin tones, hair color, heck I'd like to change the color of my armor (common or rare) as soon as I get it.  Personally I work hard to develop my character and running into clones is a drag.

2) Intergrate PvP somehow, someway into the game.  It's a cool element and it seems to be the trendy thing nowadays =)  I think having a gladiator arena would be cool as hell.

3) I'd like to own my own house and mode of transportation, I know this is a tall order but I think it would be cool to drop my armor, store supplies, etc etc.

4)  A REALLY  well thought out the auction house and mailing system

That's all I can think of for now.  I can't tell you how much I hope this game turns out well, D&D being near and dear to me when I was a kid, I'd love to see this as a dominant MMORPG.  I hope the storyline turns out well too.  It might almost have been better to do a Dragonlance MMORPG, no?  That storyline is incredible.  Welp, good luck!

currently playing: Warhammer (order - Volkmar)
games played: FFXI, WoW, LotRO
games tried: TR, VG, DAoC, GW, DDO, EVE, AoC many freebies as well!
waiting for: >none<

Can I help you?

@ ghostinfinit: ::::08:: ... you are truley wise!

I totally agree with being able to customize your character, nothing is worse than having a char you thought was unique running into a clone.... ::::35::

I would also like to bring back the "roll" your stats that they had in earlier games (Baldur's Gate I&II, IceWind Dale I, etc...) for I like the randomness it generates... or at least give the option to "roll" instead of "assign".... that is much closer to PnP D&D... ::::09::
Another option that has been brought up is aging.... I have mixed feeling about that, as I have had plenty of characters meet their demise from old age (I have been playing for 20+ yrs, DMing for about 15+) and it can be a hard thing if you are emotionally attached (lol, I know they are just paper, but still), although it is a nice way to start a new character! ::::28::

Implemented auto loot would be nice in a game. My fingers get mad when i play more than 10 hour and I have to click everywhere.
And a good crafting and job system would be nice.

Just because youre paranoid doesnt mean they arent after you-Kurt Cobain

yeah the job system looks pretty weak right now. I thought considering all the classes you could be in AD&D that they would have more.

Making a game without the having the opportunity to cutomize the very shape of your nosetip nowadays would really be old fashoned ::::31:: And the game should definitely have mounts! Without them it would take days... weeks... to travel from town to town in the scale of size I'm awaiting ::::02::

Those are my thoughts, not yours

Lots of good ideas here.

I have not heard alot about what the game will offer but I have always liked playable monster PC's

I guess with the posibility of a great deal of expansions to the game it could be a forthcomming idea.

I would love to see cool characters like a Psion's and Draconic character's w/ a bunch of character stuff. When I play PnP D&D I enjoy trekking outside the boundaries in the woods and searching for stuff like food, money, what not so being able to play solo is a plus. I really think PvP is cool, but if it isn't possible you can still count me in. Hell, you can count me in no matter what D&D online is worth it. I just hope D&D online keeps on growing and becoming better as the PnP version has.

Basically, I want to see D&D online flourish. I want it to keep on growing in every way. For right now, I want the developers to keep in mind they have competition and show the creators of DnL that D&D is in fact, number one.

DnL creators have talked about their massive world/universe. I would like to see D&D beat all that crap out of them by making D&D the best MMORPG as it really is. I looked up Kenders and they seem like cool characters to have, maybe. I want those stupid skeptics out there to be bow for D&D because it is the BEST.

I definitely agree with the whole-customized character idea...where it's almsot impossible to run into clones.  That would really create a unique atmosphere in characters.

Perhaps designs on armor / weapons, even ones that you could draw yourself.

Keeping this game up would be its attractiveness too.  Things like aging, permanent death, seeing clones all the time might not go over very well for beginning popularity.

Lots of customizations, instead of permanent death do an exp loss/a vitae % penalty, call upon clerics....etc.  I really don't think aging would go over well......(we can only get so close to the D&D atmosphere....)  Levels, experience....possible gaming experience - where it actually tracks how much you've learned about the game and things like luck, accuracy, spot, nervousness......all change as you grow in knowledge, for good or for deceit if you use it improperly.
