So.. Forum existed for three days on the game homepage and already it is overrun by leet dood 8 year olds everywhere... When the heck can a game be allowed to stay at least semi mature so that real people can play them... Just one more down the drain.

Sadly, it's just a natural consequence of the freedom of communication afforded to us by the glorious construct that is the Internet.

To be honest, I can deal with the 8-yr olds... it's the 20+ yr olds who still feel the need to act like 8-yr olds that get me down.

No... the forum is not "overrun" by l33t doods. Yes there are a couple but they got shut down rather quickly by the rest of the community.

The mmorpg.com forums have a much worse l33t population so i really don't know what you're talking about.

Okay, the whole reason Dev's set up the boards pre-release is to get comments from potential customers (well okay not the whoe reason, but pretty close). You have to let people make the negative comments if they want to appeal to people and get the gist of what people want. If everyone just said "Yes Mr. Dev that's the greatest thing ever" even when it wasn't, nothing would get fixed.

well I just read the first page of the general forum.
I've played D&D for 18 years now and honestly I have NO desire to play this game. It will have NOTHING in common with D&D other than cosmetic stuff.
instanced missions = no long term effect on the world
action combat = d20 rules out the window, they'll be window dressing
12 year olds who think they know what roleplaying is = no roleplaying
over all game = waste of the D&D license.

While that may be true in some cases, its likely not true in most cases. It has very little to do with what the parents do and more to do with what they don't do. You'll find similar kids and teens from many types of homes. The parents can have all kinds of lifestyles and the child end up that way. On top of that some people are just idiots, and beyond that there are a whole host of reasons the child could be as ignorant as you.

And I guess you are going to say spanking your kids when they have done wrong is not the proper way to discipline a child either.................or are you the "timeout" type. All I know is when I was a kid the only "timeouts" we knew was the 10 second breather between the parents switching places. All things aside, ignorant is a stong word friend. I do wonder though......how much do you get paid to mind my business? I was doing nothing more than giving an opinion about some unsavory types that people didn't appreciate. you may not have appreciated what I said, but that's free speech sir. I can honestly appreciate your point of view, but I find it hard tyo accept the usage of the word ignorant when used by a person not to be too far from the meaning of the word ignorant.
