The european side of DDO don't have digital download.
Is that hard to create a credit card shop to sell CD-KEYs?   I don't want to order stuff by snail mail.  Just to get a CD-KEY.   I already have teh files i need from the trial, so, why I need a CD and a CD-KEy? I don't need it!

Codemasters handles the billing for European costumers.  I've never used their subscription services so i'm not knowledgable about their store functions.

Turbine's account management page allows players to purchase just a cd key without having to wait for a box in the mail.  I would suspect there's a similar service with Codemaster.

Wish I could provide more info to help but I'm sitll looking...

I suppose you've already seen this: http://www.ddo-europe.com/where_to_buy.php

Yea. I blame codemasters. These guys don't want to code a internet shop to buy DDO has a digital download. Why? no idea.

And I don't want to go to a 3th party shop and buy a box. Why would want a box, and wait 2 weeks to get a game?  the game force me to have the cd-key, the box and the cd is crap, and wasted plastic, a nonsense.

This stuff make me *very* angry. I am sorry If sound bad :(

Some gold-selling sites do sell legal product keys to the games, so you might want to check you one of them and risk buying from them. But I wouldn't suggest, those sites in general aren't reliable.

Other than that, protect with your money and don't buy the game. We European customers pay usually at least as much for our games as customers in USA (when VAT is not counted). We should also be given same quality of service, and same options available when buing the games. Any company who does not do that does not deserve our money.

I agree.

I have friends with the game. And have the game installed (as a trial). So I don't need the CD's, the manual, or a box.   And codemasters don't need my money ... enough.

Got info!

Seems that there are a digital download?

http://www.gamesplanet.com/campagne/promo.html?partenaire=15&jeu=DDonline

And some information:

http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264714&page=1&pp=10

Codemaster runs the community, the ingame-support and the website. The problems i mentioned are known and they try to solve them. I'm absolutely ok with that. As i see, Deum is doing great work to let us all know about current developments. Would be nice if the website is up to date the same way.

Turbine developed that game. They made mistakes at the beginning, we will all agree. But they proofed that they can fix major issues, they upgrade the game constantly and they try to listen to gamers suggestions. No problem so far for me.

Atari should do the PR and sales. No success so far, in my opinion. Reasons ... i don't know.

So his Atari who don't do his work!.

I will recheck this at home, but maybe do exist a way to buy the game!.

note: thanks for the guy that has provided that info!

WEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!...  Done and done! :d

The metaboli shop work, after paying with my credit card, provide a CD-Key.

With that CD-Key on this site:

https://cogaccounts.codemasters.com

"Add full product key"

=>

You have successfully added a full product key to this subscription.

Why Turbine chose soo crazy and byzarro people to sell his games?, .... hahaha,  ?:D

Well.. thanks!

No clue about the pricing.  I've seen a LOT of complaints regarding poor service when dealing with Codemasters.

I'm here in the States which is a bit different.  Sometimes it looks like everyone who's not using US dollars as a native currency is getting the short end of the stick when purchasing goods.  Being that the Euro is trading in at close to 1.6:1 USD I fail to understand why europeans continualy pay a premium. Shouldn't it be costing you less!?!?

And what the hell is iwth these publishers just changing the currecny symbol to reflect the different currency.  They appear to always ignore the exchange rates. It seems like a scam that something that sells for 49.95 USD is being listed for 49.95 Euro.

shit, gas hits $3.50 USD a gallon here and people freak out.

Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?

I was in need of 2 keys for two accounts, but i balked at £19.99, trust me waiting 2-3 days for a Play.com affiliate to post it for £3.50 was well worth the patience. While i waited I took a bus into the city centre and picked up a Limited Edition Boxed version for £2.99 at PC World :)

2 x CD keys + instant = £39.98
2 x Boxed Retail + little patience = £6.49
