I am wondering if you can tell me about the following ...if it exists :

-crafting   (is it crafting or resource gathering? )

-housing  (is it in the game ) ?

-pvp (in any form) ?

The game has changed so much most reviews are out of date...and new things are in the works....so please educate  others...any myself.   Thanks.

OK, here we go ;)

1. Crafting is actually coming this week, in it's early stage (good timing LOL).  Basically, it seems to be sort of an Elder Scrolls type thing, where you find various elements through questing, put them into a forge, and it results in a magical item.

2. Housing.  Well, here's a tricky one...because my prediction (based on absolutely nothing factual) is that guild housing will be released on the 2nd anniversary next month.  We know it's coming, but it's not here yet.  We know that LOTRO was used to test out housing prior to it coming to DDO, and that's happened. 

3. PVP.  It's absolutely in game, but it's almost a "mini game" if you will.  There are PVP pits in several taverns throughout Stormreach that are 100% open PVP, and there's also PVP match making where you can form teams and face another team via a matchmaking NPC on a variety of maps.  It's mostly a time killer, so don't look for "balanced'" PVP, or even a tiny PVP focus.  many players in DDO haven't and won't ever even do it.  I personally have a lot of fun with it between quests though.

p.s. The focus is still on a "D&D experience", meaning getting together a group of adventurers to go accomplish a task together.  A lot has changed in the sense that they wanted to accomidate some more traditional MMO desires (solo'ing, raiding, etc.), but that is still at the heart of the game.

D&D experience you have to be kidding, with every mod it gets further away from D&D rules. But don't get me wrong i love the game, but as far as D&D rules well it's gettting further and further away from them.

And please dont flame me for this Don Vini, after all you do have a rep for flaming people who say bad things about DDO

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, nor would I argue that some things have been changed from PnP in order to be an MMO.  That said, I don't see the changes broadening, and in fact see changes almost ever mod to bring things back in line with the books.

BTW Vincenz what happened to all your posts on the EU forum, they have vanished!!!!!!!!!!!. I thought they were kinda cool on the EU forums seems they bitch as much as we do on our forums now...LOL

LOL...yeah, they've been dragging me down lately over there, just had to escape!  Still pop in from time to time, but there's some crazy negativity there now.  There's a post up right now complaining about the GM service because a guy had to wait 15 minutes...

Oh, they're still up there I think, but they have had a couple wipes maybe.  I just posted on a thread about mod 6 a few minutes ago.

Well, the problem wasn't my response to goodbye threads, it was that I kept a file of everyone who "quit"...and then reposted their "I quit" post for them when suddenly they were back (often multiple times).

When people made their "I Quit" posts, I simply posted...

For some reason though, even that made people crazy...
