voyagervsbor writes: This is probably my runner up favorite indie MMO. It has a unique feel to it combined with a great community that has kept me hooked on the game for great lengths of time. I look foreword to the day that I pick this up again. Most likely after they step up to client 3. Sun Aug 16 2009 2:09PM

Ruins are pretty good, but the ancient ruins are pretty much a waste due to no ruin skill reset. The community is great, but like all the game, there are the rotten apples, who bring things down. Currently, there has been a lot of f2p, or free to play player hate because they seem to "spam" their bases in warp level 0, but most of these "haters" actually are quite lazy and dont feel like asking to build in a team gal, so they bully the ones that don't pay for the servers. Graphics are okay, yet can be improved. The thing I found to be the best part of Star Sonata were the bases, which I've only seen Eve Online and Starport: Galactic Empires have. Sure, mastering bases take a long time, but it's very rewarding in the long run. the other thing I liked was the ability to really "command" a fleet of ships, or combat slaves, as Star Sonata calls the extra npc ships that follow their "owner" around and defend them against threats. Now, with full on capital ships and the ability to deploy fighters, the class(Fleet Commander) is almost complete. The class only needs more fighter types. All in all, Star Sonata is a great game, so try it. Yeah, and excuse the space rat AI in the beginner's area. Seems that the admins didn't get the message when the players said nexus AI need a new change. -LoginMessage Fri Oct 10 2008 3:08AM

It is a huge grind in the end but the pvp is cool and there is a lot to do if you get to the point of owning your own station and such. Overall not bad but not really worth the price of admission for me. Mon Jul 09 2007 7:12PM
