Shadowbane News - Zero Toleracne Policy

Posted by Jon Wood on Jan 11, 2006  | 3 comments in our forums

Shadowbane has announced a zero tolerance policy when it comes to players intentionally using exploits in the game, especially when the exploits in question will throw off the economy on a server.

We want to take this time to make an announcement that we have zero tolerance for players who try to use an exploit, especially those that disrupt the economy of a server, give unfair advantages in Player vs. Player combat, or can affect the performance of the game servers. This goes against the theme of fair play that we have instituted for the game, and is in clear violation of the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use. Players involved in the use of these exploits are having their cases evaluated by the Disciplinary Committee. Actions will result in those who actually performed these actions having all of their accounts permanently revoked. Those who did not directly perform these actions but were involved will be treated on a case-by-case basis. Any gains they have accumulated will be removed from the game world.

I too have a "Zero Toleracne Policy." I find that Benzoil Peroxide does the trick much better than Salicylic Acid ever did. A 10% Benzoil Peroxide soap bar and a washcloth twice a day... dries out the skin a bit, but it sucks the oil right outta you!

I would like to point out that this is not a new announcement or policy. It has been reiterated to the playerbase recently due to a few players trying to abuse the system. We have, of course, held this policy since day one.
