Honda has it right with the YouTube video I linked below. Failure is the secret to success. It seems that developers for MMORPG's can't see this concept and are chasing the WoW rabbit. Maybe in time and enough failed MMO's will someone see what Shadowbane could be. Shadowbane was a failure due to technical reasons while these WoW/EQ clones are failures due to concept . Shadowbane was driving innovation while the WoW/EQ clones are being mimics. The money and playerbase for a game like Shadowbane is out there. Nobody has tapped this fountain. The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. When will developers (and players) become sane? Now go eat some grass like everyone else. |
