Quality Games online has just announced that barring any unforseen obstacles, the Legend of Mir 3 open beta phase will begin on August 30, 2004!  Here is the official word from them:

Providing there are no unforeseen obstacles or problems between now and the 29th of August then we are proposing to open the Beta Service from the Morning of the 30th of August. Ok so what does this mean? Well it means Open Beta for Legend of Mir 3 will start on the 30th of August. The exact time will be announced nearer the date, but is likely to be around 10 - 11 AM GMT. As soon as we open for beta our customer service department will be open 24 hrs a day for both email and telephone support (details will follow). As we progress through the beta program we will introduce additional customer and account service functions. The reason for this is that part of the beta program is to enable us to fine tune our processes and to train our staff in a pseudo live environment. It?s also important to remember that by definition a beta is for testing so expect to find some bugs. We are working to fix all the ones notified to us by the Alpha and closed testers but due to the size of Mir 3 it's almost impossible to find and rectify them all before Open Beta.
