Would have loved a trial to see how crappy the game is a couple months ago, but now I'm busy with AoC.  Thanks anyway.

Just a shame that the European trial isn't worth the bandwidth you're using to show it.

14 sites

  • 2 which seemingly didn't exist
  • 3 which demanded a login in order to proceed (Sorry I really do not need a login to a site in a language I don't speak, and can't understand)
  • 8 which did not have any information about tabula rasa within the last 2 weeks (do they know that they are a part of this???)
  • 1 (in yoguslavian sp?) that required a mail in (well that would be my guess anyway)

And their site doesn't even allow you to warn other visitors since all comments are "moderated" (read: deleted) .

hmm i dunno.. only a 3 day trial almost doesnt seem worth the download time... maybe if it was a normal 14day trial...

My guess would be that they don't want to give you time to get to the parts of the game that they have updated since the good old (read: buggy) beta days :-)

From what I've saw on the EU sites its a 5 day trial...about the sinking ship it might it might not. It's true the trial is too short  but the way they distribute them isn't so bad. If you could get one by just going on their homepage they wouldn't  be on the homepage of many mmo sites now, would they?:) it's just good marketing.

only 3 days?

I don't gonna download a game for just 3 days to play it..

If it would be 7 or 10 day's I would try it.. then you have also more time to trying out the game

I got a 5-day trial from one of the EU sites. I've tried the game before, but due to Murphy and his law, my internet decided to break so I only played for a few hours.

I'll finally be able to try it again now. What I did see of it was loads of fun. It's very different to your usual MMO. Can't wait to try it again!

7 days should be the minimum for an MMORPG trial.  3 days makes me feel like they're afraid I'll get too far and realize how junk a game is, so they really limit my possible playtime so I only get to see the first and most polished parts of the game - generally the tutorial areas.

Someone with confidence in their product would let a player join for at least 7-14 days and give them enough time to really get them interested in all aspects of their MMORPG, hopefully 'hooking' them enough to want to pay and keep enjoying themselves.

3 days? Why would I possibly spend all that time downloading the client for a 3 day trial? No thanks.

3day trial is nearly as bad as the Guildwars "14 day OR 10 hour trial, whichever comes first."

And yes, TR isnt worth the download or the 3 days wasted. Its fun up until mid 20s, and only just barely.

Honestly having never played TR the game looks likes it atleast ok / try worthy on the outside.

Though while in Circuit CIty the other day I did notice that they have like two TR Collector's Edtion still on the shelves and I couldn't help but think damn that can't be a good sign.  I mean when a game has been out for months and months and the CE of it still hasn't sold out.

Besides that imo while i'm grateful for the 10 and 14 day trials of most MMOs even those are not nearly enough to get a  feel for  a game.    And I think 3 days, even 3 free days is just downright pathetic.

I mean christ I don't lag that bad in MMOs even big beautiful ones like EVE and LotRO but I have extremly slow DL speeds and it would probably take me 3 days just to DL the client.

I agree with the previous posts about the length or the trial versus download time: it's not worth it.

3 Days is not enough. I had friends in beta who were just insanely crazy about the game for a week or two and then they dropped it and never came back lol.

3 days is not worth a download, period.  What a stupid way to advertise a game.   If they don't give you at least a week to evaluate a game it is just not worth the bother.

Their ship is sinking fast, wonder where Richard is now that his innovative MMO is found boring by most players.

Probly sulking in a corner somewhere blaming the players for the game sucking so badly.

If RG ever makes another game, I wont buy it. Not with that attitude, and definitely not after TR. I could have made a better game, my only problem is I dont have millions of dollars. >.>

3 days is enough to get you hooked to the game and buy it, only realizing 2 weeks later that it's not worth playing. So many ignorant idiots posting in this thread..

And apparently Finland is not part of europe. "We are sorry, but our trial keys will not work for your region."

I tried the trial key, and I'm enjoying it.  My husband has a copy of the game that he isn't using, since he is playing AoC and Eve right now.  I was wondering if I can just use his game key when the trial period is up, and subscribe, or if the key is tied to his specific account and I'll have to start over on that one.
