Hello everyone,
I have tried the 3 day trial, and I loved the game. I proceeded by buying the collectors edition, which dropped down to 20 dollars in stores. This game gets a lot of hate for some reason, and I'm wondering if you TR fans think this game will have a future, and survive. Does anyone think the devs will keep adding content and making it better, or will it just fail? I have been playing mmo's for about 7 years now, and I have a lot of fun in this game. Constructive thinking is welcome, for you haters and trolls, don't even bother posting.
Thanks |

There is really isn't any reason to think the game is going to fail anytime soon. Severs for the most part always pretty full , and see tons of people running around. As much as alot of people on here seem to want the game to just shutdown tomarrow it is just not going to happen. |

fanbois shall be ignored |
it will limp along till the end of the year haemorraging subscribers with each new patch until it follows Auto Assault into the dustbin too bad really as it had so much promise - but the devs failed to deliver |

The vast majority of people posting "I dont know why people dont think this game is fun." havent played the game from start or even beta. For those of us who have already been playing the game close to a year now feel the game is lacking. The servers are certanly NOT full compaired to launch. A lot of clans have folded shop and took their players to other games. ONLY ABOUT 5% of the game has remaied the same since launch. Content that was promised still hasent even seen the light of day on test. Everything is being rebalanced around PVP content Lastly if you expected the game to be popular devs then you should have had some sort of end game content ready.

Well, to be honest, Clan Owned Control Points should breathe some life into the game - - - SOME If they could get their heads out of their collective asses, and revamp the crafting system, they'd retain more people w/ some sandbox aspect of the game (which it's completely void of right now). While that and Clan Owned CPs hold off players leaving, they could create some end game content. I mean, this should have been done months ago. Long before the "waste of resources" Hybrids were added. Better late then never, but better soon before powering off the servers |

I am not real sure. I think they enough population at the moment to be OK.
But in my opinion they really need to do about 2 patches of serious work on the RPG aspects of the game. Better diversity in the classes, bit more in the way of power choice. Making crafting more interesting.
Basically they need customization and diversity in crafting and class abilities.
The game is pretty decent not too buggy run well looks good has some really fun stuff like Control Points.
One could say they need some higher up content but in the end, IMO, its the RPG stuff that is really needed the most. Otherwise they will slowly lose customers and fail most likely. Mainly due to a been their done that feeling.
The only reason CoX is still a success is because people make so many alts and have so many character building options. That is basically what TR needs most.
Just look at playing a demolistionist. Going Sapper is effective but borting, you are just a shield monkey. Then when you hit Demo you get some neat toys but you are the same as every other Demo. There are other RPG things in the game that follow the same pattern.
This plus the initial lack of 30+ content is what hurt TR the most. They have addressed the content to some degree and can continue to do that, but they must address the other side or I think the game will peter out.
Unfortunately they don't seem to show much interest in doing that. |
