Originally posted by TeflonEddie I understand that. What is the difference between doing some "raid" over and over like alot of MMO's have . Or just doing a instance again . they is norm a boss in them that drops purples stuff . to me it is no different then just doing a "raid" or somthing like that over and over again. I have a 50 and lots for 30's and 40's but i have yet to no enjoy defending a control point. Of course I would love to have a perfect game where I will never run of out new and exciting stuff to do, But the truth is that is never ever goin to happen. Take half as long to play thru new content as it does for them to make it. |

Why so many peoples cry fail, game is dying after few months of it being released is beyond me. Lack of content is very very common in mmorpgs at launch, but when game is becoming mature its evolving. For example everquest2 not long after releasing, all those level 50s in mastercrafted stuff cried im at level cap i won game now time to go to wow... and hmmm does this game died? i dont think so, its doing decently, content is added all the time. And eve-online, i started to play it in 2003 and guess how many content it had there? peoples cried than its mining online its going to die... yes its dead really... and anarchy online, oh boy peoples was than crying fail its going to die... it was bugged to hell and back but it was all worked out... you dont take baby and flush it in toilet becouse its useless... Only thing that WILL kill this game is devs that stoped working on it hard, or extremally bad design, dark and light anyone? Loyal fan base is essential to made it succeed they will pay bills for this game so devs can work on it all the time, to release mmo completed atm company needs enormouse resources, becouse in the time it take to create content engine on which game is based will be dated and everyone will cry about it than. But most peoples like me wait and look at this game to get into it when its evolved enough, if it die till than tough luck but i dont put it in the coffin with flowers on top yet... we will live we will see, atm its just a newborn child; I think I will wait one more year to see how it will turn up... Sorry for such long post but im tired to see this game dying, epic fail and such crap over and over again in last decade... its happening every time mmo is released, some die, some evolve into gratness but each and everyone have tons of peoples crying: "dying", yes wows had some too... Ps. english isnt my primary language so grammar mistakes could and most likely did occured |

First impressions are the best impressions. If, for example, WoW didn't have such a simple and fun beginning, nobody would hang around to play the rest of its shitty content. TR doesn't deliver in the beginning, so a lot of prospective players don't want to try the rest of it. I suppose that, to like TR, you have to be a drug addict or one experienced with other such abusable substances. The first time you try it, it's absolutely horrible and it only gets worse as you continue... only some have the willpower to withstand such torment and call it 'fun'. Saps like that aren't rare. There are still millions smoking death sticks and hundreds more getting addicted as you read this; so keep on defending Tabula Rasa like you defend your smoking habit, as it holds just as much water: none. |

I agree - you dont need to play an entire game to decide if you dont like it or not. The first few levels should be plenty. So if people say you need to get to lvl X for the fun to start thats just silly. If the game isnt fun at the start - dont waste your time on it.
The rest of your post is a self-centred pile of crap. Just because you dont like the game - doesnt mean the people who play and enjoy it are all addicts. It just means different people enjoy different things. |

Biggest problem with forums is that people can't just state their point of view or opinion. They have to attack... TR is really fun for a bit. I was/am a big fan of Richard's game.. tho most of that goes back to the days of C64's. I quit out before my 30 days was up. The game has a very solid foundation. It was relatively smooth and bug free (I say relatively because its different for some people). There just wasn't enough game there imho. It was very fun.. then again Auto Assault was very fun. It had the same problem as well. Once the initial fun wore off.. there wasn't much to do. Oh and if you aren't having fun for about the first 10 levels I really don't know what to say. Game is rather fast and furious at that point... made me laugh a lot. After a certain point that starts to drop off quickly. And... Yes many MMO's have launched without much content.. or any "high end" content. However, as more time goes by... you can't really say.. well games used to do.. and its ok. People aren't going to compare it that way.. they are going to look at what is out there.. and what this new game has. When UO/EQ came out.. or even AO... there wasn't that much on the market.. even when DAoC came out .. there wasn't that much. Now there are a lot of MMO's and a lot more coming. You can't really release that way anymore.. imho. |

| "We already have two operating MMOs. We launched a game called Ultima Online in 1997. It's still got hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Then there's Dark Age of Camelot, we also have a situation where we have well over 100,000 subscribers." -Frank Gibeau of Electronic Arts. Does it seem odd that UO has more subscribers than the best RvR game on the market? |

I enjoy posting on forums because every now and then, although rarely, one individual decides to debate the shit I regularly spew out for everyone to smell. It's all in good humor, but I suppose my brand of it doesn't translate well enough into text. Anyway, arguments are pointless and fun like many video games out there. However Tabula Rasa is simply pointless. There is no fun to be had in-game, and I bought the bloody thing, so I may as well bitch about it until somebody argues and I get my money's worth of entertainment. Contrary to popular belief, my opinions have just as much merit as your own. Go ahead and take them as personal attacks or ramblings of a mad-man or what-have-you, they're still just opinions and I don't expect you to embrace them with love or overwhelming joy. |

If it weren't for the fact that I was a guild leader of one of the largest guilds on my server (Cassie) I would have unsubbed months ago. There is nothing to do in this game once you hit level 50. Not one single piece of repeatable content. And I have a prototype (purple) level 50 of every single weapon and piece of armor that my toon can use. I login once a week for my unit's weekly muster, do a little squad PvP, and then wait for next Sunday. Seriously, the game needs something. Even with the responsibility of running a guild that has around 60 people in it I still plan to unsub if nothing worthwhile is added by June. |
