I played this game in beta and still playing it . I have 1 of every class and a lev 46 guardian . and all classes seem pretty balanced .  each class does somthings well  and all have there weakness.  People just dont like to have to adapt . Just like to cry about any changes they make.  1 patch people cry they made the game to tough , next patch they made the game to easy. some people  will just never be happy.   it is true that once you hit 40+(  some people say 30  i dont see it , they did just add 17+ mid 30 missions)  you can run out of stuff to do , but the game is still pretty new. It is that way in every game .

The OP said somthing about the MG being  to easy . , and I agree with the person that said if it is to easy then you should use somthing different . Beacuse  some people are just better gamers then others  . So there  may  be somone who needs a better weapon then  somone else to make the game fun for them and not to hard.

This game is crap its simple as that.
Defend it if it makes you feel better but this is the end for TR, future aint bright for TR at all. Let it die already and move to another MMO.

I played the game to the high 40's (Medic) and quite simply the end-game blows.  Or rather I should say, there is none.  Not one for the casual players, the Roleplayers or the raiders.  If they are counting on people replaying alts forever I suppose it could survive for a bit more, but in the long term, unless they add something to look forward to other than dusting off the clone, I simply cant see any longevity.

In addition, the game is missing some basic features that in this day and age one would expect in an MMO:  Mail system, vehicles, some robust crafting, extended storyline missions/quests, a LFG tool and better clan/guild functions, to name a few.  Also no  official forum.  The "fansites" are very polarized, and there is no central and neutral place for idea sharing or convos about the game. And lets not even discuss items and the horrible itemization in the game.  Except for some armour dye I looked like every other medic in the game even the ones 20 levels below me.

I had no problem with the gameplay, it was indeed exciting, but after 45 levels even that started getting old quick.  What surprises me is that the game was sold as a PVE game, but now has begun to beef up PVP as a viable endgame.  IMO PVP does not make up for lack of content.  I found myself grinding lvels due to the lack of missions to do.

I have played many mmos and TR is right up there with Vanguard in terms of disappointing.  I cancelled my sub last month.

the game is only a few months old , no game i have seen  shipped with a "end game"  and it is already in the works  with raid type battles      ( i dont care forend game anyway , normaly just a lag fest  that u stand around for hours waiting to get started )     ,  and the vehicles  you talked about are coming out in the next patch ( but really no need for them  plenty of teleports to go around. I also am goin to wait around for clan controled bases they should be fun.  The reason the had to up the pvp in the game is because sooooooo many people cried about not having more pvp. but really the only pvp they are adding is the clan bases  that can be raided and taken over by other clans.

MMOs require more reasoning and imagination than most stereotypically ''adult'' activities.

That opinion is not a statement of fact about how all MMORPG's ship.  It is, in fact, just an excuse for shoddy craftmanship.

It would seem that you condone the "pay to play a beta" development model of MMORPG design.  I and many others do not.  The signal I want to send the TR devs is, "I can be forgiving when I feel the core concept of TR is excellent and you need some time to work out minor bugs."  But I know the difference between minor bugs and serious fundimental design flaws.  As well as a lot of missing basic features that every MMORPG must ship with these days.

Beside being a player, I also experienced the "talent" of the Dimension Game devs through over 4 months of beta.  Slow plodding changes which lack a feeling of long view purpose, lack of communication (except to spin hype about future ideas most of which never saw the light of day).  And a general sense they are really over-reaching their limited talents is standing operating procedure with them.

If not your being silly, you have no concept of what the game has to offer since you haven't seen it all.

If i spend the money on a normal machine gun at level 5 the things i'm facing drop like flies.

They do at 15 if you have a really nice gun, which you said you did.  They eat your face at 30+

You haven't played enough.  But that's your choice.

Later tater.

Dont be a fanboy, i played to a lvl 50 sniper, 45 gaurdian, and 33 spy, he's right the game is boring, but i was luck to quit wasting my money a long time ago. Once you actually hit lvl 30 you see the game for what its worth, and thats nothing. TR was great in the beggining, but later in the game you see how the dev's just threw stuff together. They obviously didnt know what they were doing with this game, and the hybrid races give me a break please. There is no high lvl content, and no end game content, i dont care if the game has been out for 4 months. I've played other mmo's that have been out for only 4 months that were way successful than TR. (Lineage 2, WoW, CoH) just to name a few, plane and simple the game is a mess, time to move on to some thing else.

Im with you man, but i would have said good bye along time ago, dont listen to the fanboys, save your money while you can.

See you around.

"Beer for the beer god!"

As a lvl 50 spy, I hardly see the difference between endgame content and mid-game content. In fact, there is no difference.

There's lot of cool stuff coming in future patches, but frankly, I don't have the patience to wait for it now. I'lle probably re-sub when they get their act straight. The game has potential, but its tedious at the moment.

But if you love it as it is now, who are we to stop you? By all means, keep playing.

Wow, took you 3 weeks to get bored?  Took about 30 min for me.  Pressing the left mouse button loses its luster really fast.  At least you felt the fast combat, tension, and pressure.  I never felt any of those things.

That just goes to show you, what type of gamer you really are.

Games are like new CD's every new CD I get I always go right to the song I know or have heard before. When I was younger I would just listen to that one song and when i tried to listen to any other "Non-popular" songs I just couldnt do it.

Then I grew up and actually gave an extra hour of my time to listen to the whole CD over, sometimes more then once, and found myself liking other songs on the CD alot more than popular songs.

You have to give the game more than 30 minutes of your time. And no im not saying one of those "O the game doesnt start till level 15" type deals. The game for me started right after I went to my first battlefield in game and helped destroy mortars along the edges of the colony. That was about an hour or 2 hours in for me. I think I was level 7 or some such.

Give the game a real chance, Ill give you a trial key and play the game with anyone who wants to try it, just to show them how fun it is.

"Waaaagh!"

I started at beta/release and very much enjoyed the game for about 8-10 weeks, then I hit level 50 and have been bored ever since. I can forgive a lack of polished end-game content in a new game, but TR has absolutely no structured end-game at all.

I prefer to focus on one character, so the lack of content cripples my playstyle; I cancelled my account on that basis.
