Nice show totally agree about the downed state, it really does add greater complexity to PvP thanks to all of the player skills that push and move others, making it much more difficult to finish another player than alot of people thought it would be going into the Beta Weekend.

Sexual Harasment Panda.

I wish they started added more hero classes like they promised. Kung Fu Panda should have been Shodo-pan

Enjoyed the show again.  Keep the intro.

Disagreed about the downed state - it's an annoying mechanic that doesn't add much to the game.  Sounded better on paper than the reality of it.

Great stuff Bill.

I am still not sold on the downed mechanic...and this speaking from the downed player's point of view. It is just prolonging the inevitable. Kill me straight and be done with it.

KEEP THE INTRO!

100% agree, I love the down system in GW2. Adds so much depth to PvP. As for WoWs MoP expansion, I find it intresting its release day is 1 month after GW2 comes out. Guess they wanted to be ready for customers that may not be happy with GW2. ANet better be ready for a fight.

lol @SE launching a series of shiny new  trailers to try to attract attention to FFXIV again.  A trailer or cutscene is great for the 30 seconds you're watching it.  Then it's over.  Then you're back to the game.  If that still sucks, the greatest trailer or cutscene in the world isn't going to make it better.

The world knows SE can make astonishing cinematics.  I don't think any complaint about FFXIV revolved around cutscenes or cinematics.  Trailers do nothing to demonstrate improved gameplay.  If they want to remarket their game, they need to be cognizant of what was criticized, then address those criticisms in videos that feature gameplay and developer commentary.  Show players that you understand what was wrong with your game and provide evidence that you're fixing those issues.  Nobody needs another cinematic trailer that essentially has nothing to do with the actual game.

Was a pretty interesting show,a bit too short, would like to see some more depth on each subject.

On the Pvp thing,i didn't grasp any concept there as nothing was explianed,it was just simple said "it adds a whole new layer",what do you mean EXACTLY?

What i got was yo ucan save a fallen friend, that adds nothing that you can't do in any other game. The finish him "spear from the heavens" sort of sounds cheesey but whatever.

A little dissappointed developers are using cinematic videos instead of actual gameplay as pointed out by Mr.Murphy.

As usual a good job by the Murph, his production teams needs a jump start to make the shows a little longer.

You see if i just have to read a bunch of text ,i will fal lasleep in seconds, but as long as it is a video segment like this,i can enjoy htem thoroughly and want more :)

I think you do well. But I want to point out something in constructive fashion. You should not be so self depreciating at points. Calling yourself our "nerdy little host" (true or not) makes me as a viewer wonder if you want to be there or if I should be watching you. Then, in the midst of the core of your show, saying that you are showing another trailer because "that's all we have" makes it sound like you are presenting nothing of merit. I am trying to write, just let the show be what it is, have a little fun, but don't make me as a viewer feel bad for watching it with your own words. Make sense? Cya next week.

Recently confirmed that at Gamescon (three weeks away) SE will have an on stage presentation with gameplay footage of 2.0.

Yoshi-P (FFXIV new producer) has recently and repeatedly stated that we will get in influx of information and new media about 2.0 starting in August, up to the release of the Betas in September and October.

The game will relaunch in January/February of 2013, depending on how well the betas go.

Knowing Blizz they would mind you playing GW2 but also keep your WoW sub open.. As one if F2P and other P2P... Win Win for both comps...

+1 for the "more Hero classes!" in WoW. I know a lot of people wanted - and like - the Monk class, but it missed the boat for me. (That's okay, I know the game isn't made just for me, and I'm glad it isn't!). Pandas and the way they were implemented also aren't something I care about.

Best part of the video (in my opinon)? The advice at the end - "Don't let a bad pug get you down!"

;)
