I've seen a lot of stupid encounters that make absolutely no sense at all in just about every MMO I've played. Granted I usually just shrug my shoulders and bow down to fantasy game's all inspiring creativity. Fantasy environments can sometimes frustrate us because of it breaking the laws of relativity. I think Blizzard's encounter team is running out of ideas and are resorting to those such tactics now.
