i'm guessing at least some one is in the beta. Is any 1 in the beta if so could you tell all of us how it's like and stuff. is it different from any other mmorpg's because i want to know

The beta acceptances havent gone out yet, so nobody is yet in the beta, and I also suspect that nobody is too likely to say too much on this forum about it when they get into the beta because of the NDA. I know that I certainly wouldnt risk it :) |

The NDA doesn't prevent you from disclosing that you are in the beta. So the first SOB that gets in better post here tout de sweet, or I will come for you in your sleep. =P

WoW is not going to have a NDA. Already been stated as such by GFraizer on the official boards.

yeah I just read that... I am amazed !! Thats a very bold move, I have been in 6 mmorpg betas and they all had NDA. A very brave, but very good move by Blizzard. /salute I will have to start being careful about what I read once beta starts now...there will be lots and lots of information around without an NDA and I dont want to spoil the game too much when I buy it by lessening the excitement of discovery too much. |

i hope i get into the beta!!! :D it said that if u get into teh beta..u culd downlaod the client if u have fast internet connection!! and i have that :D so i signe dup even tough i live in Denmark :P

Beta emails have NOT gone out as of yet, and Blizzard is well known to take 2-3 weeks or more before sending out beta invites. I'm sure they have a ton of duplicate applications their computer is having to suffle through, making it even a longer process.

Their were around 400k applicants (225k N.A. applicants when you take out Korea and Duplicates) Those are horrible odds. If you get into beta you are really lucky :) -Erik |

Even with thoughs odds. If you kind of think about it ignoring all those people signing up that you have to be atleast one of those 10k people. BTW how you get a banner like after your text? (not a avatar)

you can download the game from a site. My friends got it on his comp but he needs an account to play. Although i'd be so excited to get into the WoW beta i'm not sure wether i'd play it or sell it on E-bay for hundreds of dollars to crazy koreans

Well they are letting in 10k. That is prolly just for the first phase. So you prolly have a 1/25 chance. I like them odds a whole lot better than 1/40 or 1/50. Not to mention if they allow 10k per phase your odds get better.

Like everyone else i applied. You can dream of a Beta test in such a big game. Whatever happenes, you can be sure of a lot of info about the game from the testers that do get in. So, its all good i think. But, not as good as if i got in my self :)

There is no NDA so as long as SOMEONE at mmorpg.com gets into beta we can all get the "low down" on the game.

Also it was in a newspaper article in california .. Irving California .. a quick google will probably yield the results.
As for the people who wanted to ebay thier account, i believe they are taking steps to stop this .. i dont know how but i just know they are preventing people from ebaying beta keys, because they stated (in the FAQ for reference) they will pick beta testers on thier computer stats, they want a big mix of all kinds, and if people ebay them off it disrupts the balance ... I hate how people use beta for a free game.. its used to fix bugs and find unbalances.

I know they are setting actions to stop this. But this is one of the most anticipated mmorpgs, especially for koreans. The betas will be sold one way or another

True, their will be a few to keep secreats but then their will be a few of us to report all the exploits and bugs to make the game enjoyable for everyone. i hate those type that only get in for themselves me me me and nothing but me sorry to burst anyone bubble but i know im in, my sister husband brother work their and my work will be to report any exploite that i find. |
