Cant beat that includes 30 days game time. Add RAF for extra goodness.

Blizz knows Star Wars is gonna sting them a bit so why not try to grab some fresh players.

If they know this then they should be giving it away.

Im pretty sure that you have to keep buying it every month to keep playing :p Your first month is just extra pricey.

They have always had their incredible sales from time to time during the year. There is no conspiracy here.

There are 3 games one has to buy to catch up with the current playerbase - a fact that drives away potential players. Blizzard isn't ignorant to this fact. Hence their too-good-to-be true deals.

Yes that is a good buy. Ive always thought one of the things SOE did right with EQ2 was that the current xpac includes all content prior as well. Looks like Blizzard is finally to the point where it needs to make such offers as well.

Youv'e never had the pleasure of losing a finger nail before or you wouldn't be saying that. Theres a reason it was used as a torture method.

Its a lot of content for $35, love it or hate it that was my point.

WoW is  the only game a new player would have to drop 100 bucks to have it all. Blizzard has always been greedy in that regard.

That makes no sense. If they were greedy, they wouldn't be doing deals like this.

Not that I disagree with you; I think Blizzard is greedy but for entirely different reasons.

$35 eh? So what's new in WoW these days? Grinding badges and doing dailies?

agreed! I've had a car hood fall on my thumb, cracked the nail right in half and it fell off.  I've broken bones and it never hurt anywhere near that bad.

$35 is a good deal for it.  I'm over my WoW addiction, now I just hang out with my friends Jim, Jack, and Jose to fill the void XD  Although that does seem to be more expensive than $15 a month :(

Same here 'cept it was a car door, thumb swole up like a balloon after it and was agony. I tried sticking sowing needles in under the cuticle to let the blood out and relieve the pressure but didn't work. Went to hospital a day or two later and they performed the intricate operation of heating up a paper clip and burning it straight through the nail. Instant geyser and instant relief :D Nail fell off a couple of days later.

I have a 15 year old son and was thinking of getting it for him for xmas. He would give anything to have his own account of WOW, regardless of all the hating.

I will not allow my son access to this game, socially it is a toxic environment and I  would rather he was not exposed to this.

rpg/mmorg history: Bloodwych>Bards Tale 1-3>Eye of the beholder > Might and Magic 2,3,5 > FFVII> Baldur's Gate 1, 2 > Planescape Torment >Morrowind > WOW (9200 hrs on main [mage])> oblivion > LOTR (480 Hunter) > Rift (130 hours mage) > Guild Wars (900hrs elementalist) Vanguard.

Now playing Eve/Skyrim/GW1.

Waiting for GW2/Archeage.

Welcome to reality. Humans are awful creatures. You can't shelter kids forever. Best to let them find out how shitty their fellow man is, early on.

nah let him enjoy his childhood i say, god knows it gets tougher later on.  Not to mention some games are not full of fundementally unhappy campers :)

would do this in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the terrible inpersonal customer service. I had an account hacked and it was banned. I went through the whole process with them and they gave me back access, but the account is still banned. So I am out the money I paid for the client and the expansion I bought. Customer service only sends generic automated answers which usually don't even pertain to your issue.

This company is BAD. Plain and simple. They were once great, passionate and boundary pushing. Now they are bloated and unresponsive. This is the core model of poor management. I'll give my money to the very similar competitors because they still care about the individual customers.

Not a bad deal, just glad I waited, cause I came close to buying this set last week when Gamestop had it all on sale for $50...

I was about to lose hope Blizzard would do it again since they dropped Starcraft 2 by 50% 2 weeks back.

I don't plan on playing anytime soon, but its probably inevitable that I'll want to play when MoP launches, so might as well get them again now while they're dirt cheap!

$35 for an expansion pack that came out a year ago is a good deal to you?
