For me, it's good. I've never done a raid before (mainly because I generally PvPed and the Guild I was in weren't hardcore raiders. However, with this being implemented I might sub for a month and try it out, at least until TOR arrives.

What's everyone elses thoughts on this?

Waiting on: Guild Wars 2
Playing: Nothing. Nothing is worthy.

Pink, it's like red but not quite.

The thought of a randomly-selected raid leader (after the first one ragequits) gives me nightmares.

Good luck with it.

Too old for this, am I.

It's very good. I'm not a raider, I much prefer PvP.. but with this new addition, I'll definitely do some raids once in awhile.

since its only for 10man i'm sure it will be fine, as long as people learn the raids it won't be so bad.

Of course you'll have the jerks in every group but this world is full of jerks they are in all mmo's contrary to what people say :P

so yeah just have fun with it, i'm glad blizz finally did something like this and if it doesn't work out, oh well it was worth the try imo.

Actually it's only for 25-mans. I tested it a bit on the PTR, and it's fine. Yes, you'll get jerks sometimes. That's no different than with the dungeon finder. Just boot them and move on.

I feel the same way,  even though the raids  are of a lsser difficulty than dedicated raiders are in,  it's a good way to see the content  and  run a raid occasionally

During my time on the ptr, I ran about 80 random raids i even led a few..

They system its self works great, finding individuals and inserting them into a raid instance from a technical standpoint.

But majority of the random people cant work together or listen to instructions, Thus not many raid groups succeeded. This isn't some technical problem its a human behavior problem.

Pretty sure only about 5-10 of my groups succeeded, Any statistic buffs wana work out the success rate?

5/80 .0625, or just over 6.25% of groups, and 10/80 .125 or 12.5%

Those are pretty abysmal numbers for PTR people.  PTRs generally have much more skilled players than random publics.  IMO they'll have to nerf these raids so hard that they can be done with 10/25 people and we'll have the MC era 40 mans back where 5 people had somewhat hard jobs mid raid and the rest was the dps horde :P

Really?

Played it on live last week. Wiped once, down all 4 bosses.

It is actually working very well. The fights are easy to learn enough that most people can get it and you don't need everyone to be perfect to survive.

I will try more of it this week. From my viewpoint, it works as advertised.

BTW, most people in my last raid are not that geared (obviously since 4.3 is just released). The raid will become even easier when people are geared.

Oh, and there is no wait .. i got in within like 2 min of queuing. MUCH faster than LFD.

I actually REALLY like it (so shoot me)  As someone who has taken a break from 'actual' raiding with my guild (as well as pretty much a year off over the last two...Cata was...uninspiring...for me)  being able to jump in with reasonable gear(I actually had to buy a couple of pieces of PVP gear to sqweek in at 371 since I haven't actively played for 3 months - yeah, I'm one of THOSE), and not seem 'bad' was actually...good.  On MY server at least - it's VERY popular.

Quick update. Now with all DS bosses out for LFR and I finished everything on first try and wiped only once. It was great. Everything works. You see the content. It is not a cake walk. All the mechanics are there but they are more forgiving.

i wont be going back to normal raiding. That is just too much work. It is a game. I don't want to work to secure a raid spot. It is much better just be friends with guildies and run an occasional guild H.
