Alright. I've been thinking about this for a couple of weeks. I currently play World of Warcraft and usually buy the two month subscription cards from my local Wal-Mart. Now, because I am going to be starting college in less than a month and am currently looking for work. My time to play will be slightly decreased because of the two aforementioned reasons. Now, I'm not sure how many days I will have to play. So, i've come up with a base for a change to the Subscription Mechanics that World of Warcraft currently has. If they change it so that you only use money when you get on during the day. You would still have to buy time in the amounts of $15, $30, 6-month, and one year subscriptions. But, you only use part of that subscription when you get on during the day. You're subscription would only cost $0.50 per day. And it costs the $0.50 per day no matter how long you're on for, ten minutes or ten hours. This way, Blizzard doesn't lose any money from subscriptions and the players will get more time depending on their play style. If they have other things to do, they won't be wasting part of that month that they spent their hard-earned money on. They get to keep the time until they use it. Now, I'm just curious what you think about this idea. If you don't like it, tell me why. If you do, tell me why. If you have a better idea, please tell me. |

This kind of subscription method will never work i believe, the people behind APB tried this, and it turned out to be a major flamefest, and take in mind, but in APB you paid to be in a action district though, you could use social district all you wanted, which suited the "crafters" fine. But all in all i dont think subscription based games should be anything other than you pay for 1-3-6-12 months and thats it, either you pay for it or you play a f2p game instead. |

Blizzard would lose money because players wouldn't pay of those days they don't play on any more. It would mean they'd have to increase the cost of one day to compensate. Personally I prefer subscription model over paying when I log on. |

I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world. |

Originally posted by Vrika This guy hit it. Its seems like a nice idea for some buy Blizz would end up losing a lot of money on people who don't play as hard. This would never really work in a P2p model but it might work for a F2p play model were you could have like a gold membership or something. Plus this makes a higher risk of messing up your bill with all the different charges. |
