Although the new content for world of warcraft looks intriguing, I am still gonna miss things like Pre-cata VC runs and old westfall. Am I the only one who thinks that a portal in COT to the old world would be awesome?

Yeah you are one of the few or maybe the only one. After so many xpacks vanilla content just plain sucks. I can't even level up a char after 60 because I can't stand tbc now, let alone playing vanilla. 

Sounds like a nice idea, but possible technical constraints aside, having two virtually identical game worlds has a chance of splitting the population.

That would be a great idea. There is no reason to throw away all that work. They would probably need to get rid of all the quests, to prevent what a previous poster mentioned, about splitting the population. Except maybe quests to do with the timeline, like that other Caverns of Time stuff.

Of course, I haven't played since before the dungeon finder tool. It might be not matter if people can teleport to where they are needed for a group.

I completly agree and have thought the same for a while. I started playing about 2 weeks before the release of the Burning  Crusade and I for one wish i could go back and experiance the growth of the game Conception to now. I mean why wouldn't you want a time machine. To get to see and pertisapat in each patch as you arrive to that point to feel the thrill of getting Tier 1,2  Armor and it mean somthing. Hell I'ld pay that .
