Hello, i made a tauren warr but now i want to change to Orc cause they do more dmg as a warrior. I heard you could change your race but then i looked at the price and it was even higher than the subscription i pay. If you(blizzard) could lower it to 5 Euro or atleast under 10 Euro you would gain my respect. the current price is: Each race change costs €20.00.

A bit high isn't it? I'm already paying subscription,12 millions do.

You can thank your fellow players who bitch and moan the first week and pay up nice and quite the second. If people wouldnt go with it, prices wouldnt be so high for stuff that costs almost nothing for the developer.

That's heresy! Taurens FTW. You just need good gear, forget about the race. Besides, the Tauren has a good racial ability that stuns and I think they start with more HP as a racial passive. Also, have you considered a Tauren pally for Cata? It is sad to see a cow ditched just like that  :(

Edit: And taurens look much better, armor and weapons are bigger. Taurens, yes!!

he's not talking about going to the barber for a new haircut, he's talking about a ...race change. how many MMOs even offer race changes at all?

He could also if the character is low level, delete the character and make one of the type he'd prefer. That cost nothing at all to do.

no need to delete...10 slots. more added in cata. per realm. 50 total.

people always delete characters for no reason. It's still work and time. If they dont need that slot for something else, keep them there. Why delete? maybe one day you decide to revisit the guy. who knows.

never delete unless you need the space.

or you can create a new character, another good option. delete or create whichever you prefer. Either way better options then trying to haggle with a company to change their prices.

Many games do...for free. Write to support and they fix it for FREE. But no in WoW you have to pay like it was a new game.

No thanks, i bought the games with expansions and pay subscription. Their race changes,name changes shouldn't cost anything but they could set a very low price so people won't spam it.

What i'm saying is, my subscription should pay off for a race change or hundreds. They still make billions out of WoW.

Well in their eyes your 14.99 gives you access to use that account, create characters and explore in their world for that month. Thats it, nothing else. If you want extra stuff like additonal slots or changing stuff character wise (race, color, or other features) they expect you to pay more for that.  Simply put that 14.99 gave you the access to the game nothing more. yes i feel you have the right to it. Will they do it? nope. will they entertain the idea? nope.

I misuderstood what you were after before, your not trying to get a solution to a race you'd prefer not to be, your after the idea it cost  more money then you feel it's worth. I'm with you there but frankly. They aren't going to do that.  Much like patronizing a store for a couple of years then when you want 1/2 off on a piece of merchandise, chances are they are going to tell you, you have to pay the price thats listed. Regardless how long or how many people have patronized our store.

In short it's about money. If they have to do more then normal (ala going in and reprograming that characters looks) then chances are your the one going to be footing that bill, because as they see it: your the one who wants it.

I see. how much dps does an orc do compared to a tauren? I want to see your theorycrafting about it.

When i have access to the games feature is when iv'e bought the game. The subscription is for "future updates", but sadly they have to much money. They could probably feed hundred of thousands or millions people or build up fresh cities in countries that have nothing.Cataclysm didn't do much to their money.

Same with Mcdonalds,coca cola and all those disgusting companies.

Why are you negative and say they won't change it? I say they will change it, to free or low cost so people won't spam it. Do they really want to be the worst scums in the world?  Iv'e always hated WoW, not because the game sucks, it's pretty good. But blizzard are some fucking scums that should add some intellect to their brains.

I know how you feel man! I wanted to race change to a Korean cos they are so much better at  MMOs, playing 8 hours a day while getting straight As at school and only needing 4 hours sleep!

Plus if I ever need some extra cash I can just join a Starcraft tournament and earn 500 grand for pwning some noobs ya know,

By right they should not allow a race or faction change. I am glad they make you pay for it. It is really silly that your choices can so easily be negated. 

Learn to live with your choises and stop complaining. It's in the race descriptions when creating a new character, that orcs "may enrage to increase damage", whereas taurens have "increased health". So it's not like you didn't knew what you were choosing when you created your character.

The dps difference is only something like 2% anyway.

The sub pays for everything you need to play the game. Race change is an optional service that is in no way necesary to enjoy the game. If you are too lazy to make a new toon then thats your problem not Blizzards. If I dont like the toon I made i just make a new one simple. It takes less time to make a new toon than to whine on a forum that has nothing to do with Blizzard or WoW.
