I am free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally. |
Well, I have, of course, like the rest of the global WoW playerbase, been researching up on any little bites or snippets of information on the new content in Cataclysm. One of the main things that I've been seriously pondering is the two new lvl 78-82 zones, the legendary lore-land Mount Hyjal and the mysterious new underwater zone, Vashj'ir. Now, as we all know, both areas are rich in history and excitement. Vashj'ir, the sunken city which the Highborne went down with after the Great Sundering, and Mount Hyjal, home to the second Well of Eternity, and the site of the epic Battle for Mount Hyjal, a 25-man level 70 raid in which Archmonde the Defiler got his demonic ass kicked by the noble players of the WoW present time. Both look fantastic to play in, and one of them is based on a whole new system of travel and combat...Aquatic combat. But recently, something has started niggling at me. One simple fact: If players want to fully experience the new zone that they first go to, Hyjal or Vashj'ir, they will have to invest all their time from level 78-82 IN ONLY ONE OF THESE ZONES. And after you hit 82, you're whisked off to Deepholm to fight Deathwing in his own lair. And the fact is, I'm completely stumped on which zone to head to on my level 80 when Cataclysm is released. Now on one hand, you've got Vashj'ir. I found some very good positive points on Vashj'ir while browsing on the site Ten Ton Hammer. The link to this rather tantalizing article is here: http://www.tentonhammer.com/wow/cataclysm/zones/vashjir-preview. But I am also a large fan of BC lore. Recently, I did Battle of Mount Hyjal, and like most BC raids besides Black Temple, I loved it. Archimonde and the World Tree were very big parts of WoW lore, and I would to experience the Hyjal storyline. Yet another article that taunted me in my dreams is here, and it really has kept me trying to decide which zone to invest my lvl 80-82 experience: http://www.tentonhammer.com/wow/cataclysm/zones/mount-hyjal-preview And so I am at an impasse. Due to the overwhelming unique-ness of the new underwater zone and its features, (And due to the fact that I know absolutely zilch about Ragnaros and the Molten Core) I'm leaning a fair bit towards Vashj'ir. I am considering going back to Hyjal after I hit 85, but then it would be that much easier and less exciting than it would have been at the proper zone recommended level. And so I implore you people: Which zone are you gonig to with your level 80s once Cataclysm comes out? Vashj'ir or Hyjal?

I'm a fan of it all and know far less then i should about ether. So for me it comes down to Do i want to final make my why to the unexplored Named area on the map (Mount Hyjal) or do I want to experiance the new combat & zone type. New Content whens again. So I'll swim around and die alot. An I'll still love every second of Hyjal when i get there. There is so much lore in both you can't go wrong. I might go to which every is close to me when Cataclysm goes live. LOL AKA. Xavior Thanatos |
