Ok, if I got this game, does it have any REALLY long ass patches? Is it like Lineage 2 where everything is somewhat small, and you can continue where you left off? Cause that would be good. My internet disconnects after like 8 hours thats why. So as long as you can leave off in the middle of a patch, then I can play this. Thanks

It might have some long patches, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to continue where you left off.

Well if someone has the box and is downloading the patches for the first time, can you tell me how it is? Thanks

Sounds like you're on dial-up if your connection dissconnects every 8 hours...

As for the patches, I wouldn't think it would be as bad as the OB download. Some people took 3 days to get that. Me, 2 hours...but yea. I also don't think we'll have to download patches as soon as the game starts anyways; I mean, out of the box? I may be wrong on this though so someone else may have to confirm this...<shrug>

Not really sure how it will be in retail (dont think anyway can be, just yet) but in beta the biggest patch i saw was around 11 MB or smth i think, which isnt really "long ass" as you so nicely put it :) and no matter what connection you have im pretty sure you can get 11 MB in that amount of time.

There is likely to be a patch "out of the box" as it were. Because the game disc's where printed 4 - 8 weeks ago, and they have done beta patches sense that time. So, whatever version of the game got printed to the disc's, the version they want people playing will be slightly different. Hence, a patch on opening day.

I read somewhere here someone saying there was going to be no patch on opening day, but I just don't see how this would be possible.

Yeah, I'd do Betty....
But I'd be thinking about Wilma.
