In the last couple of hours of open beta, Ironforge was overrun by Dreadlords! Did anyone else see this awesome sight? Also I heard of some player characters were turned into chickens, is this true? Nice! Was there something similar going on in horde territory? I wasn't on the last day of beta... Yah man lots of stuff like that on the horde side. I think Orgimmar was under attack I think by aliens. I know for sure bloodhoof village was under attack by a giant inferanl though i never got any pics. Thunderbluff was also under attack but some giants also. I thought i was great. In booldhoof somone had trained the infernal into the inn and as long as that guy stayed there the infernal couldnt kill him or get out. That guy let us get all the quests in that town and let everyone get their bodies. It was great!

There was an infernal just outside the starting area for NE on test 34.. killing everything in sight... i thought it was somebodies failed attempt to tame it though.. thats pretty funny :P |

Yea the end of open beta was great.. bodies everywhere. I kind of wish that the infernals, etc. were a lower level, to give some shot at killing them, but still nonetheless. ----------------------------------

Apparently you could still do everything as a chicken except get on a wind rider (i SO wanted to go PvP as a chicken lol). Even casting wolf form worked, but it didnt change you into a wolf, you got the run speed increase from it though.

I was turned into a chicken also but it happened to my Druid so I was able to shapeshift back to normal. I guess the gm/dev saw that so they launched me into the air a few times - about 50 feet or more. The best part was that the chickens could still fight LOL. I had my ass handed to me a few times by a shaman who was about the size of my foot. |

Closed beta servers were fantastic. We managed to kill everything the dev's spawned (took forever and lots of corpses but sure was fun) Open beta, I logged in there also.. to be honest that was depressing watching the low level raid stuff run around 1 shotting everyone. I certainly had much more fun on the closed beta servers as we could combat the monsters at a reasonable level :D |

Actually, I think that was a brilliant move. It showed all the OB Testers that there is a LOT more out there for them to explore and experience (i.e. kill) than what they've seen. Kinda like a "you've only scratched the surface, kids" message. On the same token, everyone got a pretty good ass-whooping, which is another good initiative-builder. I understand that in your sad carebear state, getting whooped depresses you, but for many of us, that's merely adding fuel to the fire. My friends and I can't wait to get back in game and live in Azeroth- and one day... One day, when the devs show up again, we'll show them what we're really made of. Otto! Awesome screenies I wish I'd known that sort of thing was going on, we tried to invade an elf town north of the crossroads. We then tried to run to another town but I spent the last 10 minutes of the beta getting owned by high level mobs. In my haste, I rezzed at the spirit healer a bunch so my armor eventually went red which only made things worse. |
