Ok I'll put this as plan as possible . 1. Every Tuesday Blizzard apllys patches and hotfixes 2. 24/7 you talk with live support be it in the form of a GM in game or a Customer Support Rep 3. Your Server never being down All reasons why you pay a monthly fee All reasons that WOW has such a huge fan base All reasons that you want to play You make it free you kill what you like about it in the first place, somthing most MMORPG's can't offer STABILITY in a unstable market AKA. Fanatics are picturesque, mankind would rather see gestures than listen to reason. |

Lead MMO going f2p is just stupid. Plus they wouldn't be able to build golden toilets anymore.

I stopped playing cause i grew tired of it, not cause it sucked. It is a great game. I jsut saw your post and thought maybe i should add some insight |

Actually, in an interview, it was said that WoW will eventually go Free to play, but not in the immediate future. Perhaps after several expansion packs. And since we've seen Blizzard's "plans" for their expansions (3 more are scheduled by 2015!), I don't expect it to go F2P until around the 2nd or 3rd additional Expansion.

Maseratis should be free. Sandpark: The MMO gamer's way to say "I have no clue what I am talking about." |

WoW will go F2P once they have their "New MMO" out. And besides why make something free when you can charge customers for it ? Windows have been doing this for years and yet ppl still fork out $$$ for the upgrade in OS's which imo should be free anyways once you buy it. Played Aoc/DDO/FFXI/WAR / LoTRo / CO / Aion Waiting for FFXIV to be the game it should. so sad =( |

Wow should not be free. Making it B2P in a year or 2 might actually make some sense, if nothing else because it will need to compete with new games and because F2P games do get many players. Box sales, expansions (mini and full) together with Wows current itemshop should be enough to keep Wow going for many years still. Right now Wow don't need to do anything but it is getting older and it seems like there finally will be some competition soon so changing the payment method might not be a bad idea, but making it free makes no sense. |

The lead mmo in the industry (like it or not) going P2W is a very very terrible thing. Blizzard's service is good, their security is good, populations are good. Like it or not, they make a popular product. Them going P2W just drags every company wanting in on the action behind them and suddenly the highest bidder wins. No thanks. Spec'ing properly is a gateway drug. |
