I'm an uneducated schmuck, so please forgive me if none of this makes sense.

I've noticed a "scrolls of resurrection" trend. From what I gather this is a system of "give away free trials, if the person resubs, you get a free month" or some such. Either way, people seem to be creating a lot of topics for it.

So, in order to save space and keep the forums tidy, I've created this topic. If you have scrolls to give away, or if you need a scroll, use this thread instead of making a new one. From what I can tell, EU scrolls are different from US scrolls, so specify which you need/are giving away.

I'm surprised at the positive response, I tried to do something nice like this and was flamed fairly horribly for it.

In an effort to stay on topic- I'm also available for US winbacks (trials companies give past subscribers in an effort to earn more money).

Ahem....it had nothing to do with me bringing it to your attention last night and posting a thread about it (which you locked).

You have still failed to mention the main security issue with these scroll 'adverts' and that is people posting their e-mails to someone they don't know and/or posting their private e-mails in the threads themselves.

I am sure that most posting scrolls have all good intentions but i would just urge people to think carefully before they send information, because if you would not display your private e-mail to people in your profile, why would you just send it to a stranger or post it for everyone to see.

Update 07-11:    many  US scrolls available

As for the e-mails.. It is a bit of a concern, yeah, but look at it this way: If a person hides their e-mail in their profile, and they then post their e-mail openly, then they're educated enough to know what making their e-mail public means, right? If, on the other hand, they don't hide their e-mail in their profile, then it doesn't really matter anyway, because it's already publicly available. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have 8 scrolls left, if you need them and your worried about security simply PM me and Ill send them off.

As for the guy worried about email addresses... yes its a risk, but a small one. Most people with email addresses get spam, unfortunately its more or less a way of life. I have 3 different email addresses, and all of them get different levels of spam. All you can do is try your best to protect yourself.

Stick with pms, dont host it publicly, and dont give it away to folks that look suspicious. Im a long time poster here in good standing, and from my xfire you can see Im a gamer. Your emails safe with me, just going to paste it into the form and send it away.

However, if you prefer, Character name and Realm works as well, thats the second way to send the scroll directly to you. So... Either pm me your Email or PM your character name and realm and you will have a Res scroll asap.

I wouldn't worry too much about people giving away their e-mails either.  The way I look at it, if they haven't figured out by now that posting their e-mail address to a forum is probably not a great idea, then there's little hope of getting through to them. :)  And he's right about one thing, I already click on people's name and check to see if they have an e-mail address and send them a scroll if I think they might want one.  Don't laugh, I've gotten 2 free months of WoW that way. LOL

Couldn't ppl just use there mmorpg email to recieve the scrolls? If they're really worried about private emails being showed.

Wasted scroll dude he hasn't been inactive for 3 yet

I've got some EU scrolls left I'd be happy to give away :) remember though that you need to have been inactive for 90 days to use them...
