I still have my DnL one, good stuff

You know what got me? Getting to lvl 48, hearing so much about these 8 hour raids, then hearing that I will have another lovely 10 levels to grind. I was angry, decided to PvP, realized the PvP sucked, and quit!

You could try that, but I think it comes naturally at higher lvls

Took my 2nd molten core run to kill the game for me, I do still have cravings now and again, just have to fight those and hold out for WAR or something else amazing.

well, the "addiction" stops when sometimes  you find too hard (in which i guess not) or you just feel tired of doing same things over and over and over and over again!! for my case..i still love the game

Well my hatred for endgame died out I guess, since I got the burning crusade this last Sunday, and its ok.... not as amazing as I remember it being, but still something fun to play casually!

I'm addicted in a strange way really, I can't cancel my account, but I have no problems to take a break. I've been playing for quite some time now (since beta) and it's really hard for me to quit after such a long time playing one character, they start to feel like ur friend then.

well i quit wow all together for about 3 months now, haven't touched it since. I got two lvl 60's and i got so bored of doing pvp (which sucked) and quest and endgame instance's that i gave up... it was just the boredom really that did it for me

I just substituted one drug (EQ2) for the other (WoW). It broke one addiction by replacing it, heh!

Actually, I still log in and play once a week for a couple hours. I will get to 70 if it kills me. But it will probably take a year at the rate I'm going.

I don't like the Pvp or raiding in WoW, so all I have is the questing, crafting and grinding.

I haven't played WoW for over 8 months now, the symptoms are just horrible. but the fact that I can actually see my real life is both nice for a change, and disgusting. Sometimes I just feel the urge to g back and leave this damned world behind, but then I remember ....

I Cancelled my debit card!!!!! So I just live my life, although I havent been playing any MMO's after WoW, they all suck in comparison.

And I hope that My life improves. ^^.

what got me was at level 60 i found nothing to do except on raiding days where i was happy playing the game but druing times we wernt raiding i was bored, found nothing to do, an wondered why i still payed for the game. I still played becuase i knew the expansion was coming out and thought it would change things. Well once i hit 70 and finnaly got attuned to kara i found that exact same feeling comming back. Nothing has changed except the fact that before i had the expan to look forward to now there is nothing so i will quit.

Although some ppl would beg to differ its all to true, WoW just dident pump out the results ppl where looking for. I mean damn they had years to make amazing results, and Im not a WoW hater im just stating the truth that blizzerd has disiponted a lot of fans and hasent added a whole lot to the expansion, and weather it was for better or worse is still being debated. Also i agree to that I fear for the future of WoW and ultamintly blizzerd's survival in general. If they dont pull out something fast and quick there going to go even farther down in the charts than thay already are. Sure they will still have many die hard fans but im afriad if nothing changes they will just become another figment of the past.

Addiction is not playing something for numerous years. People say that they are addicted because they either want an excuse to come back to it (like they are psychologically addicted, and the habit of playing is becoming a problem but their lives generally aren't affected) or they just like the idea of being addicted to something. Honestly, those are the best reasons I could come up with as to why someone would say they are addicted. Unless you are misinformed and simply think that addiction is just doing something for a long time (which is actually just a habit.)

You fear for the survival of Blizzard?... you're kidding, right?

TBC sold 2.4 million copies in the first 24 hours after release... more than any other PC game in history has sold in the first MONTH of availability.

There are now 8.5 million people playing World of Warcraft. That's a little less than half the population of Australia.

That would put their monthly revenue at around $125 million, yearly... roughly $1.5 billion. That's a lot of green, folks. They'd have to pull one helluva MC Hammer to blow all that dough.

In fact, they could quit right now, start farming soy beans in Nebraska, and they'd still be one of the most successful companies on the planet.

Rest assured, they won't have to.

Yes, it's a grindfest, but despite this the idea seems to be working... the WoW population grows and grows.

In short: I wouldn't worry about sending them a charitable donation any time soon. ;)

Waiting: WAR

Ok so I started playing the since the start in november 04 playing all the time when I was a sophmore in high school and though my jounior year I didnt do anything durring the weekend accept play wow, when I got home I said fuck homework im playing wow.  After having 4 lvl 60's  and alot of 30+'s, raiding molten core and blackwing lair so many times I lost count, hitting rank 13 getting a epic mount 4 times, finally did it for me I quit about 9-10 months ago and I never want to play that game again, it simple if you look at it you cant get good gear inless your in a guild or pvp all the time, when you dont have good gear the game sucks because everyone will rape you.

How to break the addiction turn it off, go find other stuff to do in real life instead of ingame sometimes it gets boreing but in the end it's worth it, just keep reminding yourself how much of your life your putting into a game, A GAME I mean sure you can sell your account for some $$ but if you work for every hour you playing on wow you would have alot more than that. I really wish I could get the time I spent on wow back.

Leveled 5 lvl 60 alliance characters and 1 lvl 40; now playing Horde and almost 70...talk about repeating myself.  Dont seem to work.

Quiting for 2 month didn't help either, still came back.

I have my on and offs. Sometimes I would like to sell my WoW account on ebay .
and sometimes I ask myself why did I stop my subscription.

One time I got really pissed off when I finally got to lvl 52 and then burning crusade came and I had to lvl up not only 8 but 18 lvls.

Ans I had once for five month no internet (believe that! ) after I got my internet again I played on one weekend 36 hours or so.

Advice: Only play WoW if you know what your doing

I've been playing WoW casually for just over a year. Got one character to almost lvl 60 but lately I've been feeling a lil burnt out. It's cool to get some good new gear and the guild I am in fits my play style but it does feel like the same ol' grind. I am still gonna play but may be one of the new games will steal my interest.

That's exactly what happened to me.

Blizzard have really mis-judged the pacing of TBC. It took me 9 months to get level 60 yet less than 9 weeks for 61-70 and less than 9 days for some ppl in my guild. The thought of going back to raiding 3 times a week and having nothing else to do bored me to tears. I even dinged 70 in nagrand so i'd have 3 places left full of quests but when i found myself searching for a rotten egg i just thought to my self  "what the hell am i doing? just quit" - so i did.

Now looking forward to WAR, which sounds less endgame obsessed and more about the adventure and exploring on the way.
