What's the saying? Free domination is not free. Just think of it like petrol. You'll pay whatever "they" want, because "they" have you "down there". Add comical sound for added effect.

However, know that your money allows for stronger content in games...in theory. Here's just an example of what your money gives you:

WoW will never be free, why make it F2P when it has millions happy to pay a sub every month.

While paying does suck it gives them money to make the game better, buti wouldent mind them droping the monthly fee $5-$10 that would be cool.

i dont think wow should be free because

wow is much more vast,eficient,entertaing and suportive than a small time game like guild wars also it has much more staff and employees to make the game more enjoyable and safe to play as well as convieniently bringing out new expansions every year

If WoW were free, they wouldn't have the money to keep a game like it going.  Guild Wars isn't a true MMO (ArenaNet has even said this), so they really don't even fall into the same catagory.

WoW is immature enough as it is. Also, why not pay? It isn't anything new WoW invented. Subs were already proven to be effective by previous MMOs. People will pay for a better game. Keeping some immaturity out is just a plus. :)

i think  making wow free is a really bad idea, you see, if it didnt cost anything, the first thing that would happen would be:
EVERYONE FROM EVERY GAME WOULD JOIN IT

now heres why thats bad:

The realms would be overpopulated causing more lag and discomfort to the players.

Wed get more immature retards playing, ive noticed most free games have terrible (rude)  players, but im not sure why yet.

Blizzard couldnt afford to pay for their new servers that theyd need with the overpopulation  since theyre getting only a one time payment from each person.

We'd have more hackers, scammers, and less patches and game quality overall because GM's who get paid (or paid more), do a better job.  Blizzard wouldnt update the game often because, "who cares, were not getting any money from it"

so i think it will NEVER become free, if it does, ill commit suicide.  its too good of a game to become what maplestory is...

It's never gonna happen. You know why? Because it's a proven fact that many, MANY people will pay for it and that's the bottom line. Now if numbers drop off, then maybe......MAYBE they will consider a reduction in price. But the whole free mmo model is a Koren business model and it will not be a standard in the US for a looooong time.

I dont know what wow needs but... they need to open my 3 accounts cuz they close them for very very very very veeeeeeeeery stupid reason ... the reason is : I pay 3 accounts with same credit card...


 I dont even know why i started wow :(  that game is really big shit and have a lot bugs !!!

A lot of bad things can be said about WoW. I dont think it having a lot of bugs is one of them.

What is this facination with 'free' games?   There are no free games.  They all cost money to program, hence they need to make money somehow.  Be it monthly subs, advertising or item shops, somehow a profit must be realized to keep the game growing and make money for the investors.

Once the money flow drys up, the game dies, simple as that.

well, just look at guild wars, it has no monthly payment and has much less bugs every update, i like WoW much more but I just dont always have the money to buy another month,

but if it would really be an f2p game it would definetely have too much 12 year olds in it, much like runescape (horrible!!!) now

i think it would be possible, even if it come to truth, they would charge other things.
