I didn't start playing WoW until WoTLK. I chose that time to play, because I loved Warcraft 3 and wanted to play a DK and explore Northrend. After raiding for a bit, I quit until Cat came out. I played that for a month, but ended up quitting after a month, because I got tired of repeating the same content, minus the changed zones (had to buy new copies due to account theft). I never intended to come back, but GW2 isn't holding my attention as much as I'd like. I plan to play both MMO's, but I'm really interested in playing the Monk class, and having a new class to play will make all the difference for me. So when I bought MoP today, I read up on the MoP features. There are some questions I have though. 1. To what level can I play in the new expansion as a level 1 until I need to repeat old content/zones? Typically, new quest zones ended at lvl 20 and then you had to repeat the same zones from vanilla, TBC, and WoTL. 2. As a Human Monk, will I be able to start at the Pandaren starting area, or will I still be forced to start in the Human area? |

Originally posted by Aori I'm not confused, the cata revamp only revamped some of the zones, not all of them. You still ended up doing the same quests in many, if not, most of the zones. I did like the revamped zones though. Thanks for the help btw. It sucks, but maybe I can travel to the Pandaren starting area the way you could to the BE and Draenei starting areas in TBC. |

Catacylsm changed all the quests from 1-60. If you play a human monk, you will play through the human starter area. Not the Panda starter area. 60-68 is pretty suck, you will quest through the old outlands. The good thing is that with all the monks (and DKs) queue times are very fast for dungeons. I usually just powerlevel my dungeons. Sometimes I will quest through one zone. Zangermarsh and Nagrand are both fairly decent. At 68, you can go to Northrend. Questing there is much more fun. or again, you can power through dungeons. They have made 60-80 very fast now. If you do dungeons, it flies by. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |
