You can honestly say with a straight face you quit because of graphics? If graphics were important explain minecraft.

I've been playing a lot of Minecraft lately actually, so no, I didn't quit because of graphics... what I meant was that if they had improved the character graphics in an expansion I could tolerate, I would have stayed a bit longer.  I'm not going to play MoP solely because of new faces when I find the expansion to be off-putting at best.  I could barely stand Cata.

Right, new models will bring me back to game that is boring as hell and awful.

WoW do look old.. Period! Theres nothing to discuss..

The game is 8 years old and even back then the graphics wasn't anything surprising. 

 

Making new models, won't make it look like something new and shiny. I just don't believe that. 

 

I will still buy MoP though :p

So, is WoW getting a character art upgrade or something?   Not sure I understand the thread.

I Wish they would roll-out a vanilla server so I can bitch about getting benched for 40 man molten core again.

It has a few parts that are scaled down from the in-game model. It's not new.

I recall reading blue posts that have indeed confirmed new models for the original 8 races, but in those same posts, they left open a very wide range of dates for releasing them. But who knows, they were content with using the same excuse for years to keep the character models looking like trash, so I wouldn't be shocked if this update is nothing more than a hoax like the Wrath dance studio.

Player models are gonna make all of us come back huh?

Blizzard could arrange for scarlett johannson and keira knightley to come over and spend a day giving me a "sensual massage" and i wouldn't resub back to WOW.

New Models = Pandas?

My Night Elf getting hair that doesn't look hollow or finally looking better than the ground im standing on won't make me go back to the boring gear treadmill where everyone expects you to outgear the content and continuously shun everyone who doesn't have whatever gear level it is now.

if you compare older lower gear textures to the newer sets the quality is great and i would love new player models..however that is not what is needed to make me interested in wow again. removing EZ mode where they hand out free epics and limit the pvp to being so carebear is what keeps me away.

Vanilla wow has a special place in my life as a gamer.Dont care for what it is now and absolutely HATE what it has done to the industry.

Indeed.  None of the reasons I left will be remedied until a few key people are removed from their positions or have a design intervention.  They seem hard pressed and tunnel focused on their current course of action.

Sounds like a desperate attempt to breathe new life into WoW. Titan is a long way off, D3 was a FAIL, WoW subscriber numbers are dropping (now below 10m, and i expect 7m of those "subscribers" are from the East where they pay per hour and are not real subs) and the main shareholder of Activision-Blizzard with 60% of the shares wants to get out. 

With TSW doing well and GW2 likely to take a large chunk of WoW playerbase they have to do something.......

This and FTP model and no more grinding for PVP gear. Then some other people besides me might come back.

But I highly, highly doubt Blizz will roll FTP.

It might bring back some people, but definetely not everyone that left.  Players leave for all kinds of reasons, not just because they don't like the graphics.

I don't care much abdout the models... I'll go back cause I'm playing a monk and I dig it. 

I will Never touch that game again.
