Hello guys i came back to wow after a long time absence , and i dont want to continue playing my mage so im thinking rolling a warrior. I will play via recruit a friend with the 3x faster leveling, and i was wondering how many hours /days will it take me to level to 85 so i can decide whether it deserves it or not to start a new char at this point of the game.Thank you :)

I haven't played in a while myself, but based on my last experience, and the fact that you are going to use RAF, I'd say that if you start tomorrow, you'll be 85 by Monday.

Give or take an hour.

If by Monday you mean 48 hours straight then maybe but you'll need to be good - if you cannot play for 48 hours straight but can put in 4-5 hour a night doing quests as efficiently as possible then a week monday maybe.

There's still this myth that you can max a toon out in wow (even without RAF) in just a few days, it's simply not true.  Still going to take some one without RAF and heirloms a good 7 days played (~168 hours) to max out.

a different option is get a scroll of rez (if your account is still inactive)

- get a free 80 and free cata

http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/03/06/scroll-of-resurrection-revamp-active-includes-free-level-80-cha/

The Scroll comes packed with a few new perks: a free upgrade to Cataclysm, a free transfer to your friend's server, and a free faction change to join your friend's team. Oh, and you may boost one of your characters to level 80. Just like that.

I think he's saying if it would be worth it to make a new character not if it would be worth it to play the game at all

Also biller01 if you're making a warrior with RAF and heirlooms then forget about questing and just tank random dungeons non stop. even better if your buddy has a healer to queue with you. you will FLY through leveling

A lot of breathing through the mouth.

The scary part is one day the world will be run by adults who were never spanked as kids and got trophies just for participating.

They've turned into "buy the game, play for 100 hours and then ask for a refund" people. Basically...freeloaders.

If he rush through the contents, than definitely he wont feel its worth rolling a new alt.

Leveling now is already way too easy , im rolling a war too now. Personally i feel you dont need anymore items to help.

Enjoy the contents, watch the sunset at BB, do some fishing at SoS, jump of the elevator at TB, pick up some weird quest hidden some where etc....

Please enjoy the contents and exploration this game have to offer, its the last you'll find in this current crop of themepark mmo...

I just checked my level 73 hunter and he has 113 hours played. So if you are using RAF, you can easily cut the time in half or more.

It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional.

naw i had 5 days played. Its easy to get 85 with just doing solo queue on the dungeons.

One thing that WOTLK proved with DKs was that absolutely everything in Vanilla WoW was irrelevant and served no purpose in the game except to provide a means to 80. Not to mention that in WoW, if you really want to play with others, You can't do it through questing. WoW quest leveling is geared for the single player. It's not what happened to MMO Players, It's what happened to MMOs.

If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win.

When I rolled my priest a few months back I had a competition to see just how fast I could level. Going by that experience knowing where the quest objectives lead, but not really playing for too many hours a day, I managed to level 1 to 85 in 10 days.

As someone said using recruit a friend means you'll initially be gaining treble the experience during those more annoying early levels so it could be a whole lot sooner.
