I wouldn't play now that they support virtual item shops. Vote no for that garbage with your wallets in games you already pay for all the content with your sub fee and box purchase. Also not to mention the game is boring easy now. Heroic 5 man dungeons are anything but heroic, they are boring snorefest AOE zergs. No strategy, not worth playing.

You should play.

Level up slow though. You may be dying for the endgame but point blank, you won't have more fun then in the beginning.

If you can't kill it, don't make it mad.

For a bit of background I have played eQ1, eQ2, Darkfall, Champions, EVE, Auto Assault, City of Heroes, Guild Wars, LOTRO, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Planetside, Vanguard.

Give it a try. But be aware that it can be very time consuming, and you will need a good guild if you want to see the later content.  I've been in since late beta. Its a good game up to level cap(currently 80), but then its mostly raiding and/or PvP of different types. If you start now, you might have time to get to level cap in time for the next expansion.

I agree with the "try it" crowd.

Your first time through will be fun, I know mine was, my wife says the same (she still says we should start playing again). In fact, most of the folks I know will say the same thing, it was a solid game, with a shitload of fun moments.

I would suggest WoW.

Problem is, that after the game spread over X-pacs, LvLing (by means of PvE) from 10-70, had become tiresome and lame. The problem is that Players dont Do the Instances to lvl, like they did during Vanilla WoW.

So I suggest not to judge the game around these early lvls. I remember when I would always get Deadmine Invites to heal on my Pally from lvl 15-20s, yet, now it seem very hard to even find a group. As I said, dont judge the game on the early lvls.

I havnt played WoW in the last 9-10 months. I left right before they added the (Dual Spec system). So I couldnt tell you how the new stuff is (Such as Dual Spec, Exp from PvP, Mounted Combat,,other things) cause I never got to try out these new things.

The reason I left the game was because I was bored.  Please dont confuse this with meaning the Game Is Bad, like many of the Anti-WoW-fanboys seem to do. I got bored of WoW because, I played it so much (Beta Tested WoTLK also).

Also I wanted to get my real life Social life back togetther. Which is also was also another factor as to why I quit. (Which again has nothing to do with WoW being a Bad Game)

WoW's End-game is Great!

WoW has a great World PvP system. And WoW's Combat system is very smooth and responsive. The Quest and phase system in WoTLK really gets your Role Playing blood boiling!!! (I remember when I wanted to lay siege on the Forsaken after the Wrathgate Event. But I dont want to spoil to much for you.
