Say 15-30 bucks for special epic ground mounts and 35-50 bucks for special epic flying mounts.

I can totally see this happening.  Curious to figure out how much people on avg are willing to pay for things like that.  I hope though that they do not implement gear for cash, that would not be cool, but pets and mounts....heck why not....

As long as in game loot stays the same, who cares.  I would never pay for a pet or a mount.

Naahhh

Actually Blizzard lost me with this RMT thing.
I was going to come back for the new expansion, but I am not going to.

I would never pay for something like that because I do not really care for trivial RMT pieces.

However, you can already buy special mounts by buying the TCG cards with the special codes.  You might want to check eBay for prices on the Spectral Tiger for an idea.  Of course if the mounts can be bought easily through the Blizzard Store they will be not considered worth as much since they would not be 'rare' which is just ridiculous epeen stroking.

I would be willing to pay maybe $0.50 or $0.99 for a pet, maybe $2-3 for a mount (flying or ground) and maaaaaybe I'd buy one or two.  But never the $10 for one of the two pets they have now.  I've played on my main, since TBC was out for 4-5 months or so.  My main has maybe 3-4 pets and 4 ground mounts and 3 flying mounts.  In about 2+ years I've played this toon, thats all I have.  I just dont care about the vanity items or blah blah, I just like to play for the sake of playing (healer).

On a side note, this new pet's for sale thing doesn't change my stance on Blizzard or WoW.  I'd never waste money buying gold, and this is pretty much the same thing, nothing new.

I'll never pay for a mount, but I don't see any problem selling them as long as they are only cosmetic and don't affect the game's mechanics or give people an advantage.

An item you have to pay real money for would never be special to me so no.

People have been paying a heck of a lot more for mounts and vanity pets for years now. The spectral tiger mount from TGC or the blizzcon pets go for more than 10 times the price that blizz is charging for their two new pets. Granted you had to resort to buying card decks, blizzcon tickets or ebay to get them, but it dosen't change the fact that you were paying cold hard cash for them.

Now Blizz decides to charge 10 bucks for a vanity pet (that in no way affects gameplay) and all the idiots come out of their villages with torches and pitchforks. Sure you have the right to be pissed if and when they use this system to hand out gear which they haven't done.

Kudos to you guys for proving Darwin wrong.

Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path.

I probably could pay for a mount.

But it would depend on many factor, first, the aspect of the mount, it would have to be something very nice to behold, and second no more than around 8 to 10 euros. More than that its to much for an in-game item. And third, and more important, if WoW was to enter on such sales as a regular basis I would only accept it as viable if the monthly fee were to lower a bit.

No more than 7,99 month + some items with RMT, and only cosmetical items ofc, other way the game just had to go free.

10 bucks is too steep to pay for anything in a p2p mmo. I would not do it...

Here's how much I'd be willing to pay:

None.

Though I can see people paying a reasonable amount (I'd think not higher than a month's submission price, but I'm also aware this is pretty much akin to pulling numbers out of you-know-where).

What these special pets and mounts do is, they help players distinugish themselves, make their characters feel less like a clone, more special and personal. Now, the thing here is: the higher the price is, the less people will buy them, and the more those people will feel special, whereas... the cheaper they are, the more people will buy them, consequentially feeling less special. Funny stuff, eh? :)
