I have played wow for 2 years. In anticipation of the release of age of conan and my boredom with wows end game, I sold my 70 priest,70 warrior,70 warlock account.

Needless to say, after playing aoc's "open beta" I am very very disapointed. The so called next gen graphics are just not fantastic enough to warrant a loading screen every time your character takes a few steps (exxageration....barely)

Rerolling a mage on illidan server (pvp). Name there will be severety if anyone wants to say hey. I am going alliance side this time against everything that I believe in. Have always been horde.Sadly, now that blood elves are in the game horde is the new alliance :P

Guys, if you are bored with wow, but addicted to mmos like I am...looks like we have to wait til war to see if anything else decent comes out. Hopefully by then we will know more about the wotlk expac and perhaps blizz will breath new life into my beloved wow.

Funny thing is I also stopped to refresh myself  and get ready for Aoc, but its been a huge dissapointment to say the least, back to wow for me again as well lol. 

What exactly are your system specs? Just for the sake of curiosity.

heh sold my WoW account also in hopes for AoC, and well can't bring myself to play it again!  So I'm going back to FFXI here pretty soon I think!

Yes, AoC is a big pile of dung. Their "immersive combat system" was probably the least immersive combat system I ever tried.

Ah well, atleast you gave an honest view of the game. I still want to play Aoc to see it with my own eyes.

too bad i lost the beta event this session >.< Ah well, worst case scenario. I'll buy the game and regret it afterwards (if it's bad) xD

Wow good to see people crying about open beta. Though load times intially into the game are long after u load it up it no longer takes as long. I played for a few hours and i felt it was a good game thats in its infancy and waiting to bloom into the next great one. As to people wanting to go back to wow now thats just plain silly but i could care less because wil keep the kiddy WoW population away.

well your all entitled to your opinion. if you dont like it, oh well, thats a shame. me i like AOC and will be playing it. but ill state that since you dont like AOC doesnt make your wrong or right, its just your preference. just remember that, its all a matter of preference.

the load times werenever an issue for me. i loadedin 3-4 seconds if i went into a new zoneed area. then again could be i hvae a high end system and a fantastic cable connection. but either way,  found game to be quite engaging, story quest voice overs were done very well. fighting system i liked, definitely better than mashing 1,2,3 buttons, this game asctually requires a bit of strategy and tactics if done right. but once again its all about preference your entitled to what you prefer.

IF you guys throwing away your beta keys, throw it this way plz. I just bought a new rig and I wanna see if I can play AoC or not. :)

You cant judge by open beta or the pvp weekend etc, but there are all kind of reports of it having a very similar community to WoW.  Just the nature of the game is goin to attract that kind of mentality.  You want cheap gore/blood and breasts? yea i wonder what that is going to result in...

I dont think you can completely rule out the idea that AoC could have a worse community of leet speek and ridiculousness than WoW does.

Frankly, if we are going to compare the two, I find AoC WAY better graphically. Note that I have run it in DX10 on vista, all to highest settings.

But lets be honest, graphics will not keep you playing for many years, its the game itself, the content. And there's where the open beta only shows us a fraction of it, the first 13 levels. So in my opinion, you've drawn your conclusion on something very shallow (The graphics) without even arguing the content that you could have tried (The first 13 levels) and the content that is displayed on the websites. Therefor, your opinion is inconclusive in itself.

On a sidenote: You must be pretty dumb to actually say that you sold your accounts, it being illegal and all. Have fun playing your precious WoW.

I myself also like WoW, but the diff in graphic between them i believe is due to the nature of their game. And to me AoC graphic is really very beautiful. WoW have its good graphic also, esp the detail it have put into it. But tired of it now and waiting for AoC or WAR.

Pls note that AoC is still in BETA and to truly see whether its the game for you i would suggest that you give it another try after it have launch. Hopefully by than they will have fix alot of players issue with the loading issue etc....Maybe after 1 month grap a buddy key or a free trial and try it again. I will be doing that...

Probably wouldn't want to play WoW after only 13 levels either. I am curious about the load times.. never much a fan of that in EQ2.
