I really hope that vanguard is a great game. I have played WoW for sometime now and i could use an upgrade. The primary reason for my interest in vanguard will be the players. I am sick and tired of dealing with all of the little know-it-all 15 y/o's that play WoW. A more mature player base will be definately a plus to vanguard. I also enjoy the variety that vanguard has to offer. Then again i played everquest 1 from beta on, so I enjoy a little more variety unlike World of Warcraft. Anyone else got and positive addons about vanguard?

I know what you mean about irritating youngsters in WoW, but what's to stop the little rascals migrating to this game and annoying you here as well?

Certain games attract certain ranges of players. For example everquest 1 had a mature player base for the most part because it was too advance for the newly 12 y/o gamer. At least i hope that vanguard has the same affect shunning away the morons.

Exactly.  SWG used to have that effect on the morons... not so much anymore. ;)

I'm thinking that, if the devs keep to their original vision, this game will keep away the "morons".

a big part of that is eq1 wasent focused on pvp same with eq2 and vanguard, if you want to have a good community without those types of playes stick with the pve servers.

It has nothing to do with PvP no matter how much you wish that were true.

It has everything to do with how complex or difficult the game is or perceived to be.

sorry you disagree with me but i played on a pvp server in eq1 and a non pvp server as well. not only that i also see the huge difference in community in games like wow between the pvp and non pvp servers.

don't get me wrong i am not saying that is the only reason, certainly all sorts off different people like to pvp but you cannot deny the fact that alot of "leet kiddies" are drawn to pvp focused games.
