Microsoft has nothing to do with Vanguard. At one time they were going to publish it but that is no longer even the case.

STOP discrimination of males now! Isnt it shameful that we males are reduced to ugly, hulky Schwarzeneggers in MMOs? Why should we not be able to show the beauty of our bodies, why is this a privilege of women?

So I have a few suggestions to counter the discrimination of males:

- sexy wear: why only females in skimpy chain bikinis? design chain string tangas, jocks and tiny muslce shirts for males, optional plate-mail jocks

- every 2nd male NPC should at least show 60% of his body

- skin tight dress: leather wear should be skin-tight also, see any fetish wear shop for inspiration

- the logical addtion to females half dropping their breasts out of their clothing, its only logic males have clothing with their balls hanging out half

- make crotch size visible, most male characters look like eunuchs, make it big, not only boobs should stand out (optional 18+ server with morning erection when a male character logs in)

Ok /parody mode off ... maybe you think how you would feel if males are portrait like willing sex slaves to thing twice what you wish for. Sex is good and computer games are good, but I dont want to see sexyness in games, no matter if in males of females. Those boobs-filled game covers just get the heck on my nerves, it has zero to do with a fantasy game. Just imagine how misplaced it would feel to imagine all those LOTR characters in sexy wear. *shudder* Really, I am far from prude, but each to where the damn it belongs! If you want porn, watch porn, dont expect it in computer games. ><

Simply: I think Fantasy should not be sexual. Sex is ok, but I dont want to see it mixed with Elves and Wizards, because I feel these worlds as above said ppl designed them, and I guess the "visions" of those men are what fundamentally shaped Fantasy, not some mag artists.

I *draw* such semi-nude art. Thats not the point, I just dont want to "spoil" high fantasy with sexual themes. I want to see Fantasy games Family friendly.

Its a difficult topic for me. I am a Pagan, not a Christian, so I dont share the common moral on topics of human body and moral, and I am well aware of the connection of sexuality and magic. I also see that things changed since Tolkien.

However, I fear it is very difficult, if not impossible to have sexual notions in Fantasy without getting gross and without falling into the pathway of degrading women to objects. It is a matter of how it fits into the whole. I play SWG for many years, and naturally in the Cantinas we have quite near-nude male and female chars. This is ok, because it fits into a dirty, fukked up Cantina. But a Queen or a female Knight in chain bikini (or the male counterpart) just makes me laugh at best. I still prefer to put sexuality into other places than games. (In rl, where it is much better than in a computer.)

Whenever I watch TV after 10 PM seeing nudes in every 2nd TV spot (at least here in Europe this is so, dunno if US otherwise) I have the feeling we are OVER sexed atm and FAR from having a natural habit to deal with sexuality. It is either a fetish or dirty, and as long as this is so in our culture, we better be careful with it.

(I know friends in Wicca and the OTO, Amanthe, so I know about magic and sexuality, if you must know, heh. Still, Fantasy... for me thats my inner child, if you want, and seeing sexual hints ruins this feeling for me.)
