Well, we're well into Semptember and I figure Vanguard will be released within 3 months. I have been waiting for this game for 2 years now and it's hard to believe it's really coming out soon. I'm almost glad I didn't get a beta spot so I can go in fresh on release day. I say almost because I'd really like to be helping make it a better game, as many beta testers aren't really beta testing but merely killing time playing a free game, but I digress.

I'm stoked about Vanguard release. I'm going to start out as a Thestra Barbarian Warrior on the Roleplay server as well as the PVP server, and I'll stay where I have the most fun. Anyway, GO SIGIL GO!

You are either dreaming, or smoking something.  I'd be shocked if this game was released before March...based purely off quotes from the devs.  I have a hard time believing anyone that has been closely watching this game actually believes the game is coming out before '07...since '06 was already ruled out.

I think anarchyart is a little too optimistic and jmillerdls is being too pessimistic.  My guess is probably about six months till release.

I was firmly on the "release before Christmas" side until the last couple weeks and I think you may be right on the money with that guess jimmyman.

I would say Feb if all goes as planned. If delayed I would guess no later than May. A delay wouldn't surprise me, but a pre-Feb release sure as hell would.

I see bets but dont see any money put on those bets! Cmon, put some dollars,credits, platinum, silver, adena, ISK, dead gnomes, copper on the bet!

I believe you can forget a release for xmas.

The devs have been vague on the matter because they know people is going to be disappointed if they don't find Vanguard under the tree.
Therefore they use the "winter" term just to give some hope that the game might be released for xmas, although in fact it means February-March.

 Either way, 3 months, 5 months, I can handle either. It's close though and I can't wait.

Actually, it will be at least a five stage beta with beta 5 or even 6 being the stress test (not sure if it will be open or not).

Gosh is there any game i can get for xmas?

I was waitin and waiting for some news on a release date for this game. I am sure an early release will keep me busy.

The Diplomacy game seems to be very interesting. It could be a model for a true Magic the gathering type of MMO.

Enough of my whining. What are you all doing to quench your gaming thirsts?

It would be best for the devs to have another 4 or 5 months to perfect and polish the game in my opinion.

I'm betting on Feb 07, for reasons I can not yet disclose at this time.
