See, I always said, and I keep saying.  Vanguard, WoW, EQ, EQ2, CoH, they all belong to the SAME 2nd generation of MMO.  I don't believe in this new gen crap.

EQ was a 3D, it was palpable, it is there, you FEEL it.  If I play WoW, CoH or EQ2, it is better, it evolves, but it still FEEL in the same stuff, just a little better.  Everything I read confirm this, Vanguard belong to the same generation as EQ, EQ2 and all other MMOs who aren't first gen like UO.

Yet, Woody delete AN OPINION, because it is innacurate.  Well, wake-up call control-freak, whatever Brad is saying about the "next gen" is merely an opinion.  See, we are simple peoples who like simple stuff.  For now, there are 2 generations.  DDO fails to make it to the 3rd generation and I will believe in it the day it FEEL like something totally new, totally wicked!  First time someone play UO, it was wicked, it was new, it was something.  Same happen for the first time you play ANY of the second gen MMOs.  But if you play EQ, you are not going to feel totally dreaded by the feeling of any other second gen mmo.  Yes, CoV is a LOT better than old EQ, it is still the same feeling, not something new, something breathtaking.

So by deleting my OPINION, that Vanguard is just like EQ and all other MMOs, a 2nd gen, you clearly show to the world at large that, you are an Vanboi, rather than someone with a critical mind! 

I am not going to waste my time talking on your board when it come to critics, even Vanguards official forums doesn't delete my posts if I say something like that about Vanguard, they argue a LOT, but they don't delete it!  Vanboi control-freak = Woody! 

Woody is not a Vanboi (though he is a huge fan of Brad personally). But you are right, he is a control freak. I don't go to that site anymore because he has about 5,000 rules for posting and the most aggressive mods you will ever see. They will edit, delete, warn, etc. for darn near any reason or no reason, and it's not a function of one game versus another.

For example, I once got a warning for the following crime. A poster talked about how much he likes Star Wars Galaxies. I posted that if he likes that he might also like Knights of The Old Republic. My only reason for doing that was to share info, one Star Wars fan to another. This, however, was deemed a "derail" and I was warned. The guy is a freak of nature and his site is passe.

Lately he has decided he is the ultimate arbitor of truth. He will change your posts to reflect what he in his infinite wisdom deems to be true. And then there were his numerous posts, articles, etc. all devoted to him saving a baby bird.   That's when I decided there were saner message boards and have not been back since.

Even though the comics that Woody does at GU can be funny, though not as funny as they used to be, he is definately a control freak. Not only that, but between his obvious jealousy of Penny Arcade and his hypocritical opinions of those who complain about a game they pay for, and his ass smooching, I-don't-mean-to-offend-anyone attitude. He is definately ranked very low on my favorite sites list.

Plus, he needs to take that donation link off of his page. Is GU comics a fuckin' Woody Charity or something?
