...so much, that they are dedicating servers to Hardcore PVP rulesets.

Now, some would try to fool you into believing that no info has been given out about these servers, but that is false. As those who have followed the game for sometime will tell you, there will be at least 2 Hardcore PVP ruleset servers with 2 sets of PVP rules.

Now, those rulesets haven't been completely released, but they have been discussed by the Dev's. So far, it looks like one will be more Diplomacy based, only allowing players to attack other players who are "at War with your Dip Allies", so you can attack ANY other "enemy" player anywhere (at least that's what it sounded like to me). The second set sounds like a PVP anytime, anywhere ruleset, even if you're alligned with other players (but with HEAVY Dip penalties).

On top of these, they've said in regular servers there will be PVP "areas" where PVP will always be active, as well as Event PVP for all servers! WOOT! There will even be RP Servers for the Hardcore RP'ers out there (not me, but good for you guys!)

Yes, and hopefully several variants. How many might be available at launch is up in the air at this point.

So we may not have the specifics, but it's clear they have a dirrection for PVP that should meet everyones desires, even the Hardcore PVP'ers... you gotta like that... Time to wait for the official PVP Server Information, which will probably come out after they've worked out game mechanic issues.

Thanks for this post btw, and I will definitely be making one of, if not my first, characters on the most hardcore of the PVP servers.

Can't believe how close this game is to release, few more months of tweaking max and I'll see you in game!
