I've seen Player in beta footage, and it had a little lag but it was very playable.  I wonder what kind of High-end machine he has?

Anywyas, I'm sure there is alot of lag.  If it is as bad as that guy said then hopefully they will have it fixed.

We'll see how things change from now to release... I've never played so i cannot say if it is truly like that or not... just have to wait till actual reviews come in.

LIES. Maybe he lied on his system specs and that's why he is getting lags or low FPS,  The minimum beta requeriment as posted in the FAQ is a 2.4ghz processor and  512 of memory, I have seen several beta 3 NDA breakers videos, without lag and without FPS problems. If your PC sux, obiouslly your experience will be bad. 

There are also people, is what I heard, using Windows Vista beta and ovbiouslly Directx 10 that still is in beta, geting problems but not with directx 9.0c. I heard that  some diplomacy rewards were bugged, but that the diplomacy have been improved.

Yeah, wow, that sounds really, really bad and it worries me.

Well, it WOULD worry me if I had seen ANY videos that supported this conclusion.

Out of all the Vanguard gameplay videos I have seen, one, and only one, poorly recorded "running and combat" video showed some minor glitches -- which were actually related to the FRAPS'ing and not to the gameplay.

No other videos support this so-called "lag-fest."  It's a myth.

Funny though.  Remember when this forum was filled with fans?  Then the letters, "SOE," were mentioned.  Since then, all the Hatebois, except jonaku, seemed to have left.

Must admire this troll for persistence, if nothing else.

lol. You better have waaaay above that minimum spec if you have any plans of actually moving your character. I can't wait for this game to go live so all the morons defending it can see what POS it is. Of course without ever having played beta myself this is just  mere speculation on my part.

Trendson, something that I learned, is that people tends to insult and judge others looking to their condition, so that don't really bother me. If you have low expectatives about the game, there are more than 90 mmorpg, waiting for you, from runescape and UO to WoW and EQ2.

Jonaku is actually pretty cool.  He bases everything he says off of things actually said by others.  If the others are telling the truth or not, who knows, but still you can't take everything like it isn't true b/c yes, there is a chance it could be true.  I have never played VG so i cannot tell for certain if all things are true or if they are false, but i do try and defend answers with things i've heard, read, or seen.  If i've seen or heard something that  contradicts what has been said by others then I have reason to be suspicious.

Nothing can be fully trusted (good and bad) until the game is actually released and reviewed.  So until then I will always strive to bring constructive critism to any argument.

thats great but why is it that he feels the need to make a topic every time he sees what someone els posted? why not just bump one of his 100's of other posts he has made on the same exact subject?

There weren't any comp specs requirements for the CGM keys that we gave away; if you bought a magazine, you got the key that you were promised and got into beta, regardless of your computer. 

Not much we can do about people complaining that their GeForce3-based comp can't play VG (and yes, that has occurred) *shrugs*

I don't think a little lag in beta is what Vanguard devs should be worried about.  That's the least of their worries.

A more urgent problem is how to package the old EQ problems and tedium in a new graphics wrapper and sell it to today's MMORPG players.

Now THERE'S a problem!
