Everything ive read and watched about Vanguard so far has me VERY excited. the only thing is that i havent played beta yet so i cant really say much about it. but this game looks fantastic. the art styl graphics battle system customization world enviorment crafting system, ECT. looks Awsome. i just hope after all this waiting and hoping and watching that it will make it. and that it will be just as good as i think its going to be....hope its not another downer like DnL. lots to live up to but doesnt really hit the target kinda thing.

Players come for the game, but they stay for the people- Most Devs have forgotten this. |

Rest assured, VG is definitly NOT a DnL :) We are looking at a game that is 85% towards launch, with just beta work to complete, with major industry expertise and muscle behind it. Vanguard is gonna fly :) |

Right now the biggest thing I see out of the Beta leaks is the fun factor. Graphics and things like that worry me little because it is only beta. However I do so hope the game is fun and thats the biggest complaints I see.

Fun factor? Vanguard is built on comunity. If people fail to log into Beta, there is no comunity therefore no fun. There is no way you can enjoy yourself by soloing, although there is some solo content. Everything in Vanguard is built around comunity and the interdependance between players. When the servers will start to fill up a bit, you will see that the game will be fun. Obviously don't expect fun a la WOW or EQ2, or you will be disappointed. Expect more something on the line of EQ1, more time to level, more grinding, but at the same time more skilled players and mature comunity. |

if they are jerks irl or on the forums i guarantee you they will have to change their attitude while actually playing the game. that is if they want to progress at all or have any fun in the game, jerks never survived in everquest and they will not survive in vanguard either! |

Too many quests and skills to gain via exploration of content, even then you will miss a ton of content your first time through because no matter what, you will ironically level too fast before you can see it all. You will litterally HAVE to make an alt in order to see most of the content you missed. At release VG will have thousands of quests. And many skills will be gained by adventuring/exploring/completeing quests etc. So...while you could grind...why would you want to? And you are right on the money that a skilled player will really be able to shine, there can be a lot going on durring combat. ;) |

i agree...the MAIN thing im looking forward to is the mature community. the ONE BIGGEST THING i miss from EQ1 is the mature ppl in it. with the games skill level being a littler higher it should get rid of most imature jerks. I CANT WAITTT!!!!!!

On the flip side they do plan to go after and shut down ebay'ers and farmers on their servers rather ruthlessly. So there is that. :D I guess I don't worry too much, you find good people that you eventually start hanging out with regularly and all is well anyway. ;) |

I am waiting myself to be excited, this past year for me as a fan has been a rough one BUT i dont see this being any way near a DnL type of fiasco... DnL is SpEcIaL Rites of the Four Horsemen |

Lol, not sure what eq you played but there were tons of a#@holes in eq1. From killstealers to trainers to snobs to 1337 kiddies to ninja looters.............. Granted it wasnt as bad as the wow chat channels but still. |
