Obviously there are a number of people who have played beta that are not impressed. I realize that many of the issues currently plaguing the game will be fixed before launch, but this is still disturbing this far into the project. I really was hoping that Vanguard would finally be the game to fill the void. At this point I will wait a few months after release to make sure this is not another Dark & Light. Once burned, twice the fool...

I'm not really hating on the graphics or anything, but graphics aren't going to make the game for me. If the beta testers are disappointed, and the game itself is weak, I'm not going to play it, it's that simple. Right now, and pretty much since beta began, I've only heard tales of disappointment. Vanguard better start getting some positive feedback from the people playing it, and not from the fanboi's who blindly proclaim it to be the best game ever. That's all I have to say about that really.

The only people allowed to speak out about the game to the public right now are those who don't like it (and most of those were from beta 2). From what I hear though, the game took a huge leap forward with beta 3 and has been making constant improvements ever since switching to SOE servers. Not sure how good it will be when it releases, but this doesn't seem to be some stagnant beta like other games have had and it is being updated multiple times a week.

How true or untrue it is I do NOT know.. as i have to way to know actual information. But i've heard word that there are 1000 players playing at peak times. I understand that 100 was probably true during beta 2, but now i think the tables have changed and the 1K mark is what I last heard. And again thats what i've heard. I'm not being negative or positive, I just try being fare. The latest screenshots and videos have been pretty good. Only thing that is bad really are the animations, which are supposed to be tweaked/redone or whatever at the end of beta 3 or during beta 4. I'm really excited about this game, I hope that when it is released it will live up to what i believe it could be. Current MMO of interest: Vanguard: Saga of Heroes MMO background: EQ, UO, AO, SWG, PS, EQ2, L2,EQoA, WoW, WWIIO, and AC2

Nobody wanted to play beta 2, apparently it was too boring. Now that beta 3 is on, it's "new", so people have flocked back. We'll see however if that 1000 figures stays there for long. I"m betting it's gonna start sinking in the next few weeks and the beta 3 leaks and complaints will start flooding the Interwebs.

BTW your "predictions" mean absolutely jack....you come here, provide old ass news that everybody has heard before then pretend like you are all knowing or something. why don't you actually predict something that happens before it actually happens? instead of starting a thread about it some 3-4 months after the fact?

Vanguard is a lot like EQ2: laggy, slow, photorealistic, and lacking "oomph" and art direction and style, just very bland and "bleh"
