Calm down there buddy.. I think you've successfully proven you have a big ol epeen and no life. Its funny that the person above you said that those classes that you did play are a lot easier. And it really took you that long to level that high? Wow, I know people that get level 60 in a weeks play time in WoW no problem. That is with every class too BTW. Actually his warlock took 10 days cause nobody likes warlocks in their dynamic groups. But seriously push that vein back in your head and relax. You are obviously a gaming god and everyone else is scum. BTW CAPSLOCKS MAKES EVERYTHING MORE IMPORTANT JUST LOOK AT THIS SENTENCE!!! BRIMING WITH EXCITEMENT!! Siehst du mich |

Your continued attacks of a far superior EQ1 player amuse me, shows what scum are playing Vanguard. No wonder Brad himself has attacked the beta testers and his posters at Vanguard. You fanbois appear to be the ones with mental issues, you have been disproven, all MMORPGs are to easy after years experience has taught every decent player exploits and methods that are completely legit to level to quickly. Since you want to bandy around the word "truth"-lets do it shall we?! 1. The Vanguard beta is a disaster, they can't even get people to log in 2. Brad had to chastise the fanbois to quit telling people not to play Vanguard if they didn't like certain aspects of the game. It has cost the game potential players already. Vanguard posters are known as the most spiteful bunch out there. 3. The game won't launch on time, not even close 4. The SOE merger was a disaster that cost Vanguard 50% of it's player base before it even launched! You seem to be the one posting multiple at-a-boys under multiple names, the game looks awful. Get it straight, I hate EQ1, EQ2, and WoW. In fact I don't think there is a single MMORPG out currently that is worth paying a monthly fee for, they all are crap. I expect much more in mob AI then in the current crop. The only games I am interested in is Conan (no kiddies I hope), and WAR-I believe PvP is the only thing that is challenging with the piss poor mob AI. |

http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/05/25/1548236 is where I saw beta problems mentioned http://digg.com/gaming_news/Vanguard:SoH_beta_in_trouble_ more, who is heartlessgamer? Seems he has an axe to grind with Vanguard bigger then Krenalor's. Vanguard didn't launch yet, but it is more of the same first generation crap. I dominated EQ during my brief stay, but WoW is 100 times better, alas I don't have the time to waste playing a silly online game as much as I would like to anymore. If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1) |

"We're getting 600-700 players at peak and averaging 400-500 at all times, and growing the game, as I've said, about 500 players every weekday. So far the game is holding up nicely, we're just starting to see some critical mass -- some signs of a player driven economy, a nice spread out of people all over Thestra and the parts of Qalia that are open. The servers are handling the load nicely, we're making tweaks, almost a patch every day (SOE is great at making it easy for us to patch, whether it's a large patch including art assets, or just updating the database, say, tweaking a noobie yard's population). ..." Personally.. I'm happy for them. I like to see games grow. But since classes are starting up again I expect those numbers will drop and people say stuff like look how the avg dropped. Cause I know I have enough time to play an MMO when I'm swamped with all my law classes. Siehst du mich |

Ive been scanning these forums for a while now, checking up on a game
here or there to see how people are reacting to it during its Beta
Stages. I have not yet felt any sort of impluse to make a post or to
respond to one till I read this.
I dont get how you can say it is easier to level in EQ I then it is in WoW. You have obviously not been playing since the game originaly came out. Heck now, its not that hard, but how long has this game been out for now, what five, six years now? Ive lost count. Of course its a lot easier for certain classes to level. Wizards, Druids; quad kiting, really easy. Warlocks and Shadow Knights; Fear Kiting, man I would plow through classes. But WOW is a joke compared to this, any class can solo. I had a rogue which took no time to level up, aboslutely no down time, maybe a bandage here or there. I had a shadow priest but switched over to Disc / Holy so I could help on raids. I could grind through mobs almost as quickly to. You did not play EQ when it was a lot harder then it now is. Heck druids and wizards could make enough pp to last em a life time of ports, but that is of the past. SoW was a god-send and would the difference between life and death when making a trip to a zone to travel in. Now they have pok, books every where, its only a mater of seconds before you got where you needed to. There are many ways in which you can pl a character with the help of a mage, or druid. Just pop on a Damage Shield, and lay waste to every red around you. Since your all knowing about EverQuest, you must know about how crowded the EC tunnel used to be, or the fact that the name Slate meant certain death to you if you were of the Evil Faction. Just do a quick search on the WoW Forums, look for the guy who had 8 level 60s, each took less then 8 days playing time each. Its just not possible to do that on EQ without PL. I played, WoW, I had a blast with it, but it lost its edge for me, but thats not the point of this post. I played EQ I loved it, but its lost its hold on me as well. I dont know if Vanguard will be any good, but I dont see how you can truly bash it, till its out and you actually play it. If its fun, then play, if its not then shove it and dont play. Its really that simple. If you dont like the game, dont play it, as easy as that. "All Have Said Their Prayers, |

I agree, EQ was fun, so was WOW. But yeah, anyone who says EQ is easier than WOW never played through both. In group content in WOW you can often just about fall asleep and still win, leveling is damn fast, even if you play casual. No question I enjoyed it, but no question it is a compartively easier game than many, EQ included. And it's true that no one knows what the game will really be like at launch, though beta 3 players have an idea. Most of us won't have a real idea until beta 5 when NDA is lifted and they open up a bunch of servers (it's just about an open beta). The sheer level of ignorance though in most of the people who reportedly "hate VG" is astounding though. Many of the things they reportedly "dont' like" about the game don't even apply to it. My enthusiasm comes from the official info released and the level of commitment the devs are showing. So while I don't know what the game will be like and only have the vaguest of ideas, I do have a good feel for how the devs are approaching things and I like what I'm reading in that regard. :D |

Im really sorry people. This is my mistake. I have a pet monkey (a chimapnzee) called Bobo, and I taught it to type. Sometimes Bobo makes a realy nice and emotionally rich short stories, but I never realy thought that Bobo would learn how to go on the internet, go to mmorpg.com, create a new account and post stuff! Im really sorry, ill put a password on my computer so Bobo will not post anything like this again. My sincere apologies. Bobo, behave! No beer/porn for you for a month! Now go back to your cage and stop throwing poop at people!!! I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time. |

No, Microsoft pressured Sigil to release VG early so Sigil bought their rights back and grabbed a different publisher. Can you say 'Someone didn't pay any attention' ? Because you know...it would make so much sense for SOE to help publish a title that will compete with their own right? Or perhaps VG is nothing like EQ2 and therefor simply adds to the attractiveness of having a Station Pass? Gee...I wonder which one is more likely? A lot of the screen shots are downright gorgeous, some are average, none have been terrible though I have my own issues with the character skin modeling. A lot of the animations are very poor, the devs have stated their intent to fix/polish/rework them in beta 4. Right now their focus is optomizing the speed of the graphics engine to run well on slower computers. |
