The more I see the less I'm taken by the graphics. I'm playing DDO at the mo and they're much much better, as I recall EQ2 was too (only played the trial when it first came out so I may be out of date on that one), GW and any of the Korean games are streets ahead. To sum it the graphics would have been great a year or two ago but not so now. I guess its just as well that it's not just a beauty contest! Register on Vanguard Spheres, and then you can see the Vanguard B-Roll Remix Video. :) Oh and once you register and view the video, drop by the forums and tell us what you thought of the video. Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder obviously - have you tried ramping the graphics up to max on DDO - the specs required are relatively low. Its simple for me - I look at DDO, then I look at this game and unless there are some tweaks you can do (in which case put them in the screenshots for god sake!) then its just an old and tyred look. By the way before you put me into the basher's corner I still think this game has promise I just think the graphics as shown so far are dated. After seeing the videi its not bad, I grant you and it looks better than the screenshots that are shown, but it still lacks something - its almost like there's a layer missing. Maybe some bloom effects or even some lighting effects would sort that out. Do you know if such effects are coming? Oh by the way take a look at the guild wars factions video and tell me is their even in the same league?? There are new videos that are coming with more effects and the like soon. I'll post them on the site when that happens. If you want, stop by the forums on the site and say hello too. :) Oh and btw, not sure if you have a guild or not but Vanguard Spheres is a great gateway to finding a guild that is right for you. I have seen the game in motion, and it much more realistic than EQ2 or DDO (at least DDO in beta right before release). Of course, everyone has their own tastes. Some love WoW, and while they are good the cartoonish graphics just aren't my favorite. Some of my older favorites were SWG and DAoC. They are both dated now, but for their time they offered very good graphics with a realistic feel, and Vanguard is there now. So, unless you know someone in beta and can get a look at the game being played (some of us are just lucky I guess), then don't be so quick to judge.

Well those screens were taken at medium settings. Also Brad stated somewhere that more graphics tune ups were on the way(But I dont feel like looking for the post right now). Uhh I would have to agree that screenshots at least for me never do a game justice. Granted in one of the screenshots it seems like the character is floating because of a potential bug that maked the shadow not really connect with the feet of the char. As for FoH - yeah I know some of them can be a bunch of leetist asses.
