1) End game is a gear grind. 2) Crafting is pointless, its used to support raiders. 3)Ships are only for fishing WTF? 4) It felt like playing a very deep game with no depth. They have all these things, skills, ships, housing, crafting and its all pointless. 5) there is only 8 people playing the game. 6) dont waste your time and money like i did.

1. Wrong. First ALL of Vanguard is kind of a "gear grind", as the game is itembased. But its no grind. A grind is if you do boring stuff just to get items. But there are plenty of good dungeons in Vanguard, including endgame. In fact there are extreme amounts of content on all levels. Vanguard is a paradise for people with altitis. 2. Wrong. Crafting is very worthwhile on all levels. Yes quests dont drop superflous items either, but its a great mix. You dont sound like you had the patience to make any crafter yourself, though, so how would you have any idea. 3. Wrong. I dont fish at all, and I have for good reason ships on all my characters. The only one who doesnt use them anymore is my main with the permanent quested flying mount (which is actually faster than ships, unlike Randolf). Even he still has a ship so he can take others with him if needed. Galleons are superflous though, much too huge to fit anywhere. Sloops are superior to the larger types in most instances, simply because they are small. 4. You're making no sense. 5. You obviously played on Halgar, not Telon. Telon has hundreds of people on. Then again, why do you claim Vanguard is a "item grind" if only 8 people are on ? You cannot do most of the endgame content without a group. 6. Teh. |

Crafting was great I made my own armour, weapons and most of what you see in the shot of my adobe I made myself. I also made my own boats which I used to move around and get to my house too. I cannot fathom how you can call the game a grind when you have so much you can do and do not even notice playing it because of following the quest chains and having fun completing them. I also remember wandering about with no real objective aside from exploring and discovering amazing things hidden in some nook. Always made me feel like I was in a world instead of playing agame. When I played it it was not too busy about a couple years or so back and yes I soloed a lot but I was in a guild and we did things together but I would never categorize what you could do in the game as pointless unless I am being facetious and have no real intention of delivering an actual review . There are so many stats you can go off on crafting depending on what you want. Weapons that you craft is IMO always superior until you reach level 50 for the endgame weapons. Even at endgame, you can craft weapons thats about equal to raid gear, but yes the only thing is you have to raid for the materials. |
