So I decided to head back to Vanguard since it is free for 45 days.  I have not had an active account in about 6 months.  All of my characters are gone.  Did this happen to anyone else?  Did they do a server wipe of inactive accounts?

I put in a ticket, but I am sure it will not get looked at till Monday at the earliest.  I am bit annoyed to say the least.  I was really looking forward to playing a few hours each day this weekend. 

Any information would be greatley appreciated. 

I had characters on 2 accounts from bascially release time and all characters were present. No one in game mentioned this at all although most of us are starting small to experience to lower content again ( or in most cases the areas we have not seen yet )

I also fired up Vanguard a couple of days ago to check it out and spend my 45 free days. I have not played Vanguard since 2009 and all my 9 characters are present.

did you know SOE recently announced devs being put on Vanguard? Can you say CASH SHOP INC! lol

I guess I am just lucky.  I hope they are able to recover the characters.  None of them were over 25 but I had about 6 between 10 and 25 and they all had the flyign mounts from the x-mass event.  I really do not want to do the starter area a bunch of times again.

Not sure if this applies, but just make sure you are still using the same account as you did before. I know a few people (myself included) who created multiple accounts along the way and get mixed up about which one was the original. I've never heard of them deleting characters on old accounts, but then again I'm pretty sure they don't guarantee that your characters will still there if you leave.

umm did none of you realize that with in the past 6 months to a year that SOE merged all the servers down to 1? the reason you all dont have your characters is that when sony did that they gave you a limited time frame to claim your characters or lose them forever.

Hardly.

There has been a cash shop in Vanguard since beginning of 2009.

Post proof or this is blatant misinformation. I never heard of any such thing and I spoke with MANY people who returned to the game.

I too returned to my account that I last played 2009 and all my characters have still been there.
